1) If Voldemort is adjacent to 8 people, he can’t be on the outside.
He also has to be adjacent to Harry, his killer, so Voldemort is in B2.
2) Voldemort is talking about Barty Crouch Senior, who goes into
A5…
3) and his son, Barty Crouch Jr., who goes into A4.
4) A4 is A5’s son, so B3 has to be Harry’s dad, James.
5) Now we know that C3, D3 and E3 are Marauders, but only one was
a Death Eater (column C) so Wormtail goes into C3.
6) There’s one more box that includes both a Death Eater (column C)
and someone from the Order of the Phoenix’s (B5-E5). Now only
Snape matches the description, so he’s in C5.
7) Lily has to be adjacent to Voldemort, her killer. She can’t be in
column C (Voldy lovers) and she’s not adjacent to Harry, so she’s in
A3.
8) Since Barty Crouch’s soul was sucked out by a dementor, B4 had
to have killed C4. C4 is above Snape, so it has to be Nagini…
9) …and so B4 is Neville. We don’t know if Dumbledore goes into B5
or D5 yet.
