나이
나이도 말해야 돼요? Should I tell you my age, too? 말하다 = to talk, to tell, to say
-아/어/여야 되다 = to have to + V, should + V
나이가 들면서 배가 As I got older, I gained belly fat. 나이가 들다 = to age, to get old
-(으)면서 = as + S + V, while + S + V
나왔어요. 배 = belly, stomach, tummy
나오다 = to come out
배가 나오다 = to gain belly fat
나이가 들면 시골에서 살고 When I grow old, I want to live in the 들다 = to eat (honorific)
countryside. 나이가 들다 = to age, to be old
싶어요. -(으)면 = once, when, if
시골 = countryside
살다 = to live
-고 싶다 = to want to + V
Day 2
듣다
신나는 음악이 듣고 싶어요. I want to listen to some exciting music. 신나다 = to be exciting
음악 = music
-고 싶다 = to want to + V
이제 와서 그런 말은 듣고 I don’t want to hear things like that now. 이제 와서 = now, now that things have happened like this
그렇다 = to be like that
싶지 않아요. 그런 is the adjective form of 그렇다.
말 = talk, word, language
-고 싶다 = to want to + V
Day 3
키가 크다 to be tall 크다 = to be big
키가 작다 to be short 작다 = to be small
키가 큰 사람이 부러워요. I’m jealous of people who are tall. 크다 = to be big, to be small
큰 is the adjective form of 크다.
사람 = person, people
부럽다 = to be jealous
고등학교 때 이후로 키가 안 Since high school, I haven’t grown taller. 고등학교 = high school
때 = during + N
자라요. 이후로 = since
안 = not
자라다 = to grow
Day 4
마시다
어젯밤에 술을 너무 많이 Last night, I drank too much alcohol. 어젯밤 = last night
술 = alcohol, liquor
마셨어요. 너무 = too much, excessively
많다 = to be a lot
많이 is the adverb form of 많다.
삼겹살을 먹을 때는 소주가 When I eat samgyeopsal, I feel like drink- 삼겹살 = pork belly,

마시고 싶어져요. 소주 = soju
-고 싶다 = to want to + V
-아/어/여지다 = to become + adjective

음료수가 마시고 싶어요. -아/어/여서 = because, since
따뜻하다 = to be warm
따뜻한 is the adjective form of 따뜻하다.

눈병에 걸렸어요. I’ve got an eye disease. 걸리다 = to be caught, to catch (a disease)
병에 걸리다 = to get sick
눈 감아 보세요. 선물이 Close your eyes. I have a present for you. 눈을 감다 = to close one’s eyes
-아/어/여 보다 = to try + V-ing
있어요. -(으)세요 = imperative (polite)
선물 = present, gift
있다 = to exist, to have
눈이 따가울 때는 어떻게 When my eyes sting, what should I do? 따갑다 = to sting
-(으)ㄹ 때 = when + S + V
해야 돼요? 어떻게 = how
하다 = to do
-아/어/여야 돼다 = should, have to

보이다

-에서 = from, at
잘 = well
주유소가 보이면 말해 When you see a gas station, tell me. 주유소 = gas station
-(으)면 = if + S +V, once + S + V
주세요. 말하다 = to say, to talk, to tell, to speak
-아/어/여 주세요 = Do something for me.
제 자리에서는 하늘이 잘 I can’t see the sky clearly from my seat. 제 = my (polite)
자리 = seat
보여요. -에서 = from, at
하늘 = sky
잘 = well
그 회사에서 저한테 관심을 That company showed interest in me. 그 = that, the

보였어요. 저 = I (polite)

Day 7
종이
종이 접기 origami 접다 = to fold
이제는 사무실에서 종이가 Now we don’t need paper in the office. 이제 = now
사무실 = office
필요 없어요. 필요 없다 = to not be needed, to not need
