ANALYSIS AND DESIGN

A. Design of two floor slabs (Hollow clay blocks).*

B. FEM model using Straus7. *
C. Analysis of the structure considering:
o ULS for vertical loads; *
o SLS for vertical loads; *
o SLS for seismic actions (Damage limitation limit state)
o ULS for seismic actions (Life safety limit state);*
D. Design of 4 main beams considering the Ultimate Limit States.
E. Analysis and verification of one of the beams previously designed at the Serviceability Limit States
(stress control and crack opening)
F. Design of 2 secondary beams at the Ultimate Limit States
G. Design of 3 columns at the Ultimate Limit States.
H. Redesign one of the floor slabs as flat plate supported by columns (flexural reinforcement and
punching shear).
I. Foundation analysis*
J. Foundation design

A detailed report must be prepared.

DRAWINGS

• Structural plan view[s] + formwork and floor slab reinforcement.

• Structural plan with reinforcement for the flat slab.
• Structural plan view of the foundation.
• Structural elevation view + formwork.
• Beams reinforcement and formwork (all the beams designed, including foundation beams).
• Columns reinforcement and formwork.

* MUST BE COMPLETED BY THE END OF THE COURSE.

AT THE END OF THE COURSE THE REVIEWS OF THE PROJECTS WILL TAKE PLACE ONLY BY APPOINTMENT.
