1 GENERAL

1.1 Scope

The purpose of this procedure is to establish guidelines for the preparation of “as-built”
drawings.
This document defines the procedure to be followed to incorporate change and/or
additions to AFC drawings and/or documents issued for construction.

1.2 Reference documents

Refer to “Project Coordination Procedure” Spc. 00-AZ-E-09000, and “Document and

Equipment Identification Procedure” Spc. 00-ZA-E-09005.

2 ORGANIZATION

Responsibility for assuring proper follow-up and processing of “as–built” drawings will
be with CONTRACTOR, field engineering team organised at site and carried out both
in Messaieed and Dukhan areas.

The SUBCONTRACTOR will ensure that the “as-built” documents (“marked-up”) will be
issued to CONTRACTOR for final updating.

3 AS-BUILT DRAWING

All PROJECT drawings and documents shall be continuously updated during the
execution of the WORK to fully reflect the “as-built” condition and incorporation of all
changes, additions, modifications, etc. made to the design as a result of errors found in
checking, field construction changes made for whatever reasons, or any other changes
that are made in the PLANT. All these changes shall be incorporated into the “as-built”
records within fifteen (15) working days prior to Commissioning of the PLANT(s).

3.1 Field change, addition and modification

Field change, addition and modification will be incorporated into drawings during the
performance of construction activities as follows.

Equipment erection and installation

 Civil
 Steel structure
 Architectural
 Piping
 Static and rotating equipment
 Electrical
 Instrument

3.2 Field Change Notice (FCN)

Field change notices, shall be issued by field engineering team and will, contain
change and/or additions to AFC drawings.

3.3 Filing

The original FCN (signed version) shall be filed for the preparation of “as-built”
drawings with the cooperation of the discipline works superintendents.

3.4 Updating of Drawing

All drawings shall incorporate any FCN information as applicable.

All field construction drawings shall be updated on a weekly basis.

Drawings to be “as built” include the following:

 P & I Diagram

 Plot Plan

 Underground System’s (piping, cables, etc.)

 Standard GA’s (piperack, etc.)

 ISO’s

 Tie-Ins

 One Line Diagram (electrical)

 Loop Diagram (instrumentation)

3.5 Final Updating

After final updating of change and/or additions the drawings will be recorded as “as-
built” on the revision column of the drawing title block.

4 AS-BUILT OF EXISTING PLANT

All drawings and documents refered to Existing Plants, which need to be revamped or
upgraded (Arab-D Gas Recycle & NFGP), will be collected from QGPC, if QGPC
provide electronic copy CONTRACTOR will be updated and submitted electronic files,
if QGPC provide hard copy CONTRACTOR will be update and sumitted hard copy.

5 SOFTWARE

Software utilised at the detail engineering stage shall be applied for the same during
“as-built”.

6 SUBMISSION

All drawings including original tracings to the “as-built” status shall be issued to QGPC
as per the following requirements

 All “as-built” drawings on CAD shall be submitted in computer readable and

updateable format on Auto CAD Version 14.
 CAD drawings shall also include specialised menus and software needed for
continued maintenance of the drawings.
 The above shall apply to drawings and other documents prepared by
SUBCONTRACTOR.
 Complete sets of 3-ring-bound copies of final “as-built” prints reduced to A3 size.

Hard copy of final documentation shall be submitted for QGPC final approval of
documentation which shall require three (3) calendar months.

Final documentation including electronic files, once APPROVED, shall be dispatched to

the locations to be indicated by QGPC.
Preparation, printing, binding, mailing and delivery shall be done by CONTRACTOR.
