TASK: LISTING

Imagine that you are a cook in a restaurant and then you


have to taste your meal.
What senses would you use in this situation?

Do a list of the smells, of the food that


you would like to taste, etc.

Remember that you may report your list in front


of your class!

A or AN

The article “a” is used before singular, countable nouns which


begin with consonant sounds.

Example: She is a teacher.

However, “an” is used before singular, countable nouns which


begin with vowel sounds.

Example: I saw an eagle in the forest.

Exercise:

We use to + infinitive to talk about the purpose of doing something.

Form: Subject + verb + to with infinitive

 He’s going to Italy to study Italian.


 We are going to Tanzania to climb Mount Kilimanjaro.
 Susan is here to see you.
 I buy flowers to decorate my garden
 I need a can opener to open this.

Exercise: Complete with the correct form.

incredible sites, what could we do in each situation if we
lacked any sense? Imagine that you are in Norway and you
can´t see the polar lights or you want to smell a flower and
you can’t. What do you do?

Imagine an invention for each sense for those people that are
missing any of their senses. Draw your invention and then explain
it to your classmates out loud.
