Topic: Fair’s Fair

Learning outcomes: 5.1Can engage and respond to a variety of literary texts to express
understanding of the broader world of ideas and concepts.

5.1.3 Can read and respond to simple stories and poems.

Learning objectives: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

(i) Match at least 6 out of 8 characteristics to the right characters.


(ii) Construct a short essay not less than 50 words about 1 character
and their characteristics from the short story.

Previous knowledge: Knows the synopsis.

Teaching aids: Poster with a quote, Worksheet 1, Worksheet 2, Talking Stick, sweets

Set induction 1. Teacher shows students a poster with a Poster with a quote.

quote together.
3. Teacher then ask the students what they
think the quote means.

4. Teacher will discuss further about the
characteristics and actions of the
characters from the short story with the
