Exercise 1.1
You are planning to change the landscaping around the location where you or a friend lives
and have decided to approach it like a project. Describe the activities involved, the resources
you need, the likely obstacles and the way you will overcome them.

Exercise 1.2
Consider that three different organizations are planning to construct a building for their own
use. The organizations are a for-profit company, a religious group and a local school district.
Consider how the project can be affected by the different types of organizations behind the
project.
Be prepared to share your thoughts with your classmates.
