Session 8 Got feedback for IT companies? Purpose of this presentation This presentation introduces you to the concepts of:
primary or secondary data
feedback, analysis and results
automated feedback
display findings
future promotions based on data from previous
promotion. Data analysis Data analysis, at the review stage of a promotion, comes in the form of primary or secondary data.
Small business: data can be collected by you,
especially if you are a sole proprietor, from the clients you serve through discussion, questionnaires and examining past sales and associated details.
Large organisations: tend to have this form of
information automated, tracking leads, customers, return clients, demographics, lifestyle etc. Findings Findings can be displayed in pie graphs or bar tables to show market share.
Presenting analysis to staff members allows them to
offer feedback.
Results are used to make decision about future
promotions.
A way forward, based on the findings, is then
determined at the meeting. The next steps What does the learner have to do now? Do a class activity – view a tertiary institution’s promotional activity, then create mock promotional activity to promote this course, posting it on Blog, Facebook or YouTube.
Complete ‘assessing effectiveness of planning
process’, ‘providing feedback to personnel and agencies’, and ‘evaluating costs and time lines benefits of promotion’ in the Student Workbook before the next session.
