Camel Single Crochet (camel sc)

Crochet Pattern Insert hook into next stitch (not through the front
OR back loop, but instead an extra loop that is
behind the sc stitch). Yarn over, pull back through
stitch (2 loops on hook). Yarn over, pull through all
2 loops on your hook.

Spike Stitch (sp)

Insert hook below the sc from 1 row below. Yarn
over, pull back through that stitch (2 loops on hook).
Yarn over, pull through all 2 loops on your hook.

Sole:
Rnd 1- Ch11 [13] using “Light Taupe” yarn and
3.00mm hook, 5 hdc in 2nd ch from hook, 1 hdc in
next 8 [10] sts, 5 hdc in next st. (Note: You are now
going to be working on the opposite side of
foundation chain.) 1 hdc in next 8 [10] sts. Do not sl
st in 1st hdc of this rnd. (26 [30] sts)
Rnd 2- Start crocheting in 1st st from the previous
rnd. 2 hdc in next 5 sts. 1 hdc in next 8 [10] sts. 2

ch - chain stitch the * 5 times. 1 hdc in next 8 [10] sts. *2 hdc in next
sl st - slip stitch st. 1 hdc in next st. Repeat from the * 5 times. 1 hdc
sc - single crochet in next 8 [10] sts. Do not sl st in 1 st hdc of this rnd.
hdc - half double crochet (46 [50] sts)
hdc2tog – half double crochet 2 together Rnd 4- Start crocheting in 1st st from the previous
dc – double crochet rnd. *2 hdc in next st. 1 hdc in next 2 sts. Repeat

Right Bootie
Row 1- Sl st in 15th [17th] st from “Rnd 8 [9]”. Ch14
Top Of Shoe: [16], 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Rnd 1- Attach yarn (Light Taupe) right in the middle
of the sole/heel, crocheting from the outside of the
bootie. Ch1, 1 sc in the same st, but only through
the back loop. (Continue crocheting the sts in
this rnd only in the back loop) 1 sc in next 55 [ 59]
sts. Do not sl st in 1st sc of this rnd. (56 [60] sts)

1 sc in next 12 [14] ch. 1 sc in the 15 th [17th] st from

“Rnd 8 [9]”. 1 sc in the 14th [16th] st from “Rnd 8
[9]”. 1 sc in the next 28 [32] sts. Turn your work. (43
[49] sts)
Row 2 – 3- Ch1, 1 sc in the same st. 1 sc in the next
42 [48] sts. Turn your work.
Rnd 2- Start crocheting in 1st st from the previous
rnd. 1 camel sc in every st all around. Do not sl st in
1st sc of this rnd.
Rnd 3- Change yarn colour to “Toasted”. Start
crocheting in 1st st from the previous rnd. 1 sc in
every st all around, but only in the back loop. Do not
sl st in 1st sc of this rnd.
Rnd 4 – 5 [6]- Start crocheting in 1st st from the
previous rnd. 1 sc in every st all around. Do not sl st
in 1st sc of this rnd.
Rnd 6 [7]- Start crocheting in 1st st from the previous
rnd. 1 sc in next 18 [20] sts. 1 hdc in the next st. 10

Rnd 7 [8]- Start crocheting in 1st st from the previous

rnd. 1 sc in next 16 [18] sts. 8 dc2tog. 1 sc in next 14
[16] sts. Do not sl st in 1st sc of this rnd. (38 [42] sts)
Rnd 8 [9]- Start crocheting in 1st st from the previous
rnd. 1 sc in next st. 1 sc2tog. 1 sc in next 11 [13] sts.

Fasten off, and weave in loose ends. Row 1- Sl st in 19th [21st] st from “Rnd 8 [9]”. Ch14
[16], 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in next 12 [14]
ch. 1 sc in the 19th [21st] st from “Rnd 8 [9]”. 1 sc in
the 20th [22nd] st from “Rnd 8 [9]”. 1 sc in the next 28
[32] sts. Turn your work. (43 [49] sts)
Row 2 – 3- Ch1, 1 sc in the same st. 1 sc in the next
42 [48] sts. Turn your work.
Row 4- Ch1, 1 sc in the same st. 1 sc in the next 38
[44] sts. Ch2, skip 2 sts (creates button hole), 1 sc in
next 2 sts. Turn your work.

Button Cuff Border:

Right Bootie
Attach yarn (Light Taupe) to the top corner of the
right bootie (not side with strap). Ch1, 1 sc in same
st. *1 spike st in next st, 1 sc in next st. Repeat from
the * 21 [24] times. When you reach the corner, ch1,
1 sc in same st. Along the edge of the strap crochet 6
sc. (50 [56] sts)
Fasten off, and weave in loose ends.

Left Bootie
Attach yarn (Light Taupe) to the top right-hand
corner of the strap. Along the edge of the strap
crochet 7 sc. When you reach the corner, ch1, 1 sc in
1st st of top of strap. 1 spike st in next st, 1 sc in next
st. Repeat from the * 21 [24] times. (50 [56] sts)
Fasten off, and weave in loose ends.

Finishings:
Sew 1 button onto each bootie, right across from the
“Button Cuff”, underneath each button hole.
