Course Unit: Unit 6
Lesson Title: Metamorphosis
LESSON OVERVIEW Summary of the task, challenge, investigation, career-related scenario, problem, or
community link.

Teachers will be dressed as a caterpillar and a butterfly to engage the students and give them an idea of what
the lesson will be about. Students will be introduced to metamorphosis with a lesson and an activity. The lesson
will start with a video to engage the students and show a brief process of metamorphosis. After, the students
will be shown the process more in depth, while keeping it simple. There will be a dance and a song taught and
reviewed to help the students remember the information being taught. The closure will be a paper plate activity
where the students will show their understanding of the process of metamorphosis.

Teachers will come into the classroom dressed as a caterpillar and a butterfly. They will have enthusiasm when
introducing the lesson, and keep students engaged.
