8. Introduce unity and team work. Read to the class Side by side by Monica Brown and complete
the Cesar Chavez the Good Citizen writing, “Did Cesar Chavez help his community all by
himself?” think pair share.
9. Cesar Chavez I Would Ask Him worksheet. Students will get into pairs and share their questions
with a partner. Their partner will pretend to be Cesar Chavez and answer the questions. They will
each have a turn role playing.
10. Students will create Cesar Chavez Booklet, students will draw their own pictures. Read
Harvesting Hope by Kathleen Krull. Hand signal Assessment- check for understanding Cesar
Chavez.
11. Students will create a 3D model of an Aztec Eagle Flag.
