Field Experience
 Practicum
o Fall semester 2016, Clymore Elementary School, spent one full day a week in a Kindergarten class
assisting the teacher, led lessons and activities, assisted classroom teacher in every day tasks,
o Fall semester 2017, Cub Run Elementary School, spent one full day a week in a 5 th grade
classroom, assisted classroom teacher, wrote, planned, and implemented lesson plans in all
subjects, built relationships with students, gained insight on planning and curriculum
 Spent two hours a week in a middle school classroom in Florence, Italy, interacted with small groups of
students educating them on American life style and traditions, made connections regarding the daily lives
and similarities of people around the world,

 Worked in small groups and one on one helping struggling learners in math in 2 nd and 4th grade
 Volunteered in Kindergarten classroom assisting in reading and testing sight words
 Presented at Family Math Night and a Science Fair for elementary aged children

Volunteer Experience
 Overcoming Barriers – Fall semester 2017, was a mentor in a physical activity setting for an 18 year old boy
with Autism
 MadiTHON – participated in a twelve hour dance marathon to raise money for the Children’s Miracle
Network Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia, raised $1000.00 which contributed to total of $90,000.00
