WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT AND SOCIAL JUSTICE LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCE


Founder, Mmaakunim Foundation, Ghana. June 2016-Present
• Select ten women across the ten regions of Ghana for a two-year entrepreneurship skill program.
• Liaise between business owners and the foundation to offer entrepreneurship skills to our women.
• Collaborate with medical officers, lawyers and nutritionists to assist with business, legal and health
training.
• Partner with district chief executive and rural chiefs to organize Happy Flow Project, a sanitary health
and sex education program which offers free sanitary care products to teenage girls.

Columnist, Magazine Noir, France. Jan. 2015-Present


• Initiate discussions three times a year to over 400 women on how to celebrate and empower their
blackness.
• Motivate black women into accepting, exploring and owning their sexualities.
• Create a hashtag during domestic violence awareness month for over 1000 women to share their stories
on Twitter.
• Feature two black women three times a year to share their black woman experience.

President, Ladies Unleashed Network, Ghana. Aug. 2017-Present


• Organize quarterly mentorship programs for 300 women.
• Offer job and business skill training for 400 women twice a year.
• Assist with business planning and branding for young CEOs monthly.
• Partner with government and private business owners to offer jobs to our mentees.

• Lead monthly workshops for 50 students on topics that include icebreakers, values clarification, stress
relief, time management, goal setting.

Intern, Columbus Refugee And Immigration Service, Columbus, OH. Jan.2018-Present


• Volunteer 15 hours a week in the Resettlement Program to coordinate pre-arrival preparations for
refugee families and individuals.
• Ensure that all new arrivals have furniture, food, and a welcome kit of essential items. This internship
requires a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license.
• Participate in ESOL classroom activities including one-on-one work with students and implementation
of lessons.
• Work with clients on select issues related to securing employment such as resume writing and

• Crafted monthly arguments for over 5000 followers about domestic violence and sexual assault affecting
women in Ghana.
• Discussed bi-weekly the challenges facing African women in the diaspora and in Africa, specifically
Ghana.
• Compose annual campaign on ways to end sexual violence to young girls in Ghana, which received 400
shares daily.

• Collaborated with other youth organizations in Ghanaian churches to plan educational and interactive
