FIFA Medical Emergency Bag

Dear Sir or Madam,

During the FIFA Congress 2012 in Budapest, it was proposed by President Joseph S. Blatter and also
agreed by the Congress that each of our 209 member associations should be provided with an
automated external defibrillator (" AED") to help prevent sudden cardiac death on the football pitch.

In the process of developing a prevention programme in collaboration with international experts on

emergency sports medicine, we have created the :

11 steps to prevent sudden cardiac death

A paper has been submitted to the British Journal of Sports Medicine, sharing our experience with the
sports medical community. We will inform you accordingly once it is published.

As an integrated part of the 11 steps, the FIFA Medical Emergeney Bag ("FMEB") contains not only an
AED but also the equipment that is necessary in the management of sudden cardiac arrest, providing
basic life support for at least one hour prior to the patient being hospitalised.

Besides the medieal equipment, the FMEB also comes with an instructional booklet, a DVD and a table
of contents for ease of reference. Should you require more information and instructions, please do not
hesitate to contact the regional representatives of ZOLL Medical Corporation, who will be happy to
assist. Due to different eustoms constraints, please note that we have not included any medication.
Please complete the bag with the medication required by contaeting your loeal supplier. It is
imperative that the contents of the FMEB are completed aecordingly.

It is envisaged that the FMEB will be an integrated part of the course curriculum in future football
medical courses. As such, we are proud to provide you with your FMEB.
