1. MAIN WARNINGS FOR MACHINE USE
It is mandatory to read this Use and Maintenance Instruction
Manual before carrying out any work on the equipment: its
initial operation by unqualified persons could cause serious
injuries to people and damage to property.
All the maintenance, adjustment and replacement operations
described in this Use and Maintenance Instruction Manual
should only be performed after disconnecting the equipment
from the electrical power supply.
Connection to the electrical power supply should be carried
out by qualified and experienced personnel, in accordance
with the regulations in force.
Check that the electrical circuit is protected adequately; the
equipment is fitted with a nameplate which shows the
power, frequency and power supply voltage values.
In addition, check that there is the earth connection and that
there is a differential switch regularly upstream of the power
cable.
The operations that require direct contact with machine parts
that heat up during processing, such as adjustment or
preparation of the heat‐sealing operation, must only be
carried out using protective gloves to avoid any risk of
accident.
The guards have been fitted by the Manufacturer in order to
safeguard the operator's safety. During operation the guards
must not be removed for any reason.
It is forbidden to tamper with, alter or modify the equipment,
even partially.
In the unlikely event of a fire caused by a short circuit of the
electrical equipment, it is strictly forbidden to use water to
put the fire out: in this case, you must use the appropriate
fire extinguishers present in the workplace.

2. NOTES FOR CONSULTATION OF THE MANUAL
This manual is supplied in single copy with the purchase of the machine. In the event that the
Customer needs more copies, it must be requested from the Manufacturer, specifying the model and
serial number of the machine in question (the information is on the nameplate).
This manual was written in Italian by the Manufacturer’s Technical Department and is translated into
all the languages of the European Community countries where the machine is sold. In the event of
disputes or incorrect translation and interpretation, the manual in the language of the machine
Manufacturer’s country applies.
The use of the equipment in question necessarily requires that the User is a person with good
professional skills and work experience with similar equipment
This manual is an integral part of the equipment and, therefore, must be stored so that it is always
available for consultation, in a protected and dry place away from direct sunlight.
Throughout this manual there are several safety guidelines that aim to make using the machine easier
and safer. To facilitate understanding they have been divided into:
WARNING: this term identifies events that may compromise the integrity of the equipment.
CAUTION: this term identifies events that may compromise the safety of operators. In some cases they
are shown in bold.
NOTE: this term identifies general information on the machine and important information for a
successful production cycle.
NOTE
IN THE NEXT CHAPTERS, AT THE END OF THE PARAGRAPH, SUITABLE
“CAUTION” NOTICES WILL BE LISTED REGARDING THE SPECIFIC RISKS
APPLICABLE TO THE CHAPTER.
THIS DOES NOT EXEMPT YOU, HOWEVER, FROM CONSIDERING ALL THE
MAIN WARNINGS DESCRIBED ABOVE APPLICABLE.
IMPORTANT NOTE PLEASE NOTE THAT THE USER IS REQUIRED, IN
ACCORDANCE WITH ITALIAN LEGISLATIVE DECREE NO. 81‐2008, TO
UNDERTAKE A PROPER ANALYSIS OF THE RISKS RELATING TO THE MACHINE

6. SAFETY FEATURES
With regard to product standards 2014/35/EC and 2014/30/EC concerning the applicable parts, the
unit responds to the Directives mentioned above.
Please read all the instructions relating to use and maintenance contained in this manual.
The heat sealer joins FLUO‐LFP™, FLUO FILM coverings, which ensure their performance precisely
because they can be heat sealed. The heat‐sealing process makes the joints reliable to the extent of no
longer having to be considered potential “weak points”. The integrity of the covering is thus
guaranteed in its entirety.
WARNING:
Do not use the heat sealer for improper uses.
Proper use involves disconnecting the unit from the electric power supply immediately in the event
that:
The unit has been knocked or the external body (mechanical part and wiring) is damaged.
It is suspected that the system needs servicing or repairing
Wear protective gloves when performing maintenance work.
Only use original spare parts.
Do not put foreign objects in contact with the sealing system. Follow the manufacturer's instructions
for the identification of the type of materials to be heat sealed
BBV Tech srl disclaims any form of liability or warranty if the purchaser or representative makes even
just the minimum changes to the purchased product.
With its design, the unit is able to meet the heat‐sealing requirements both in terms of quality and
application.
All materials and components used for its construction meet the CE safety standards and the relevant
certificates are filed at BBV Tech srl.
ATTENTION
The unit meets the following electrical insulation class:
CLASS I: System with essential electrical insulation.
It must be connected to the earth circuit of the general electrical system.
Please note that pictograms or hazard and prohibition signs are displayed in the parts of the unit
where, if the conditions dictated by the signs are not observed, hazards will certainly arise (burns
hazard)

qualified personnel in order to prevent hazards.
Do not use the equipment in harsh environmental conditions, such as
rain or high humidity.
BBV Tech srl hereby declares that its products and units are made with materials that comply with the
limits set by the applicable regulations in force relating to health and environment protection and
does not contain substances classified as SVHC (Substance of Very High Concern) in accordance with
EC Regulation 1907/2006 (REACH). Although the above mentioned substances are not employed in
processing cycles of raw materials and our products, their presence cannot however be ruled out in
the order of p.p.m. (parts per million), due to the micro‐pollution of the raw materials.
7. PERMITTED USE AND INSTALLATION
The Heat Sealer is a unit that ensures easy heat‐sealing thanks to the electronic control of the most
important parameter: temperature.
In this model, the correct temperature value is adjusted manually via the dedicated thermostat
NOTE
BBV Tech srl disclaims any liability if the purchaser or
representative, performs inadequate executive operating
procedures with respect to those reported herein.
The unit is supplied assembled and with the end of the power cable with bare wires.
It is therefore not ready for use, but the User must connect these ends to a suitable plug, according to
the country of use.
ATTENTION: The electrical connection of the power plug
must be carried out EXCLUSIVELY by qualified personnel.
8. FORBIDDEN AND INTENDED USE
The Heat Sealer must not be used in very damp environments or in the presence of water that can wet
the equipment itself.
It has been designed to heat seal solely the fabric parts of the expansion joints, any other use is
considered misuse.

The ST‐00E heat sealer features a control panel to start it as shown in figure 3
a) STARTING THE EQUIPMENT.
Fig.3
Act on the power button shown in the figure (activation from the bottom upwards), consequently
check the activation of the red light (heat), which corresponds to the plates being powered and in the
heating stage.
b) SETTING THE TEMPERATURE.
The ST‐00E heat sealer has an on/off switch which allows the unit to reach the temperature already
pre‐set by the manufacturer.
c) WORK STAGE.
Once the plates have reached the temperature the green light turns on (ready). Now you can start
heat‐sealing, by operating as follows: put the two parts to be sealed next to each other, making sure
that they overlap properly, so that they can be pressed with the heating plate (fig.5). Press by acting
on the handle and wait the required time, according to the type of fabric, thickness and width of the
surface to be sealed.
