ENG 114 End of Semester LETTER Eportfolio

Dear Professor Intawiwat,

The individual projects have truly allowed me to grow as a technical writer especially in regards
to my use technology and online research. For instance, I completed assignments spanning
from emails and letter to a job interviewer and researching relevant questions to ask an
applicant. My research skills have grown substantially and I can truly say that it started because
of and through this course. Additionally, I’ve grown as a critical thinker. Being able to think
critically isn’t limited to thoughts but also overflows into actions. For example, my time
management has also been affected in a positive way thanks to this class. Finally, when looking
back through my assignments I can see my growth as a writer. Once clear example is found in
my social media report. I personally think the final draft of this report went so smoothly for me
thanks to the WEB workshop number 4 which focused on the effects of social media in the
workplace.

The group projects helped me enhance my research skills by allowing me to focus on specific
but a variety of areas within our group business. For instance, I was sometimes doing research
in the perspective of an applicant, other times I was doing research in the perspective of a help
desk technician. With these different perspectives came the unique opportunity to use different
approaches to get the best research results possible.

The textbook assignments, in my opinion, were extremely useful. Not only short-term for class
success but also long-term especially for future business leaders and managers. I especially
enjoyed these assignments because I didn’t feel as if I was doing homework or an assignment, I
saw it more as a practice session for real-life situations in regards to business.

In conclusion, I really enjoyed this class and I like your approach as an instructor. You treated
us as adults but also made yourself available to assist if we needed it. It’s evident that you are
an expert in your field of work. I really hope you get to travel in December! Sounds like a lot of
fun. Thank you professor Intawiwat.
