Lesson Title: Stress Management and Increasing Resilience
Level: 6-12th grade
Lesson Duration: 3o minutes

Lesson Objectives:
Students will learn strategies and tools that will help them to better manage their stress levels
and increase their level of resilience.

Summary of Tasks/Actions:
1. Introduction: Resilience video- 8 minutes
2. Group discussion: What are some sources of stress and how do you currently deal
with them? Toward strategies, away strategies? -5 minutes
3. Handout (independent): Stress Management -5 minutes
4. Stand up Hand up pair up: Discuss toward strategies. Share ideas. -5 minutes
5. Group discussion- Ideas for strategies to manage stress levels-5 minutes
6. Recap: Praise for effort and encourage use of toward strategies and plan for follow-
up. -2 minutes
