Ambition: Initially, my ambition was to be a great inventor of the future computers as I really wanted
the course Computer Engineering. But God led me to this course and I guess the best ambition to
achieve right now is to finish what I started, create a large circle of friends being a teacher, and educate
every student that may come my way.

1. In what way are you and your friends similar?

 I am similar with my friends in the aspect of being hungry all the time. Not that we really are
hungry all the time. It’s just that, we find comfort eating with each other’s company. Other than
that, I think we are all similar in reviewing for our exams. We find time reviewing by planning
where we should do it, and by throwing questions to each other by what is needed. No social
media, no cell phones. Just review.

2. In what ways are you and your classmates different?

 I am not particular with how I am different from them because I never looked deeper into my
classmate’s behavior. But to my observation, I am different in ways that first of all, I’m always
sleepy. I don’t know but every time I am not interested to one thing, I’ll yawn. Other than that, I
think one more thing that makes me different from them is that it’s really hard for me to get
interested on something that I never had experienced. I can learn about it but it never really
sinks into me. Maybe I’m a one unique mess.

3. How does a girl differ from a boy in behavior?

 As everybody knows, I am a woman in mood and at heart so I am much more inclined with what
girls have in mind and the way we react. Usually girls differ from boys in the way they decide
about something. Girls usually decide for the future. They decide usually using their feelings,
and they could never care less about what ever other people think about what’s happening.
Boys on the other hand, decide for what is good today, or tomorrow. They usually are regretful
of their decisions when they think their ego is stepped on or their pride is at stake. Men doesn’t
care if they hurt a girls feeling as long as their happy about it and they could share it with his
circle. Not all men are like that, but most of them are.

4. In what ways does an American differ from a Filipino?

 Being a Filipino, I learned that we differ from Americans in our way of thinking. Americans in
nature are open-minded whilst us Filipinos are narrow-minded. Sad truth, but living in the
Philippines for example, saying something like, “Tara, coffee tayo.” And they don’t know you,
Americans would say, “Yeah, sure. Would 10 be okay?” They agree right away because for me
they think that you would just wanna know then better. But Filipinos in contrast, they would
think of you like, “Siguro magyayaya lang to ng networking.” Or “Ang creepy naman nung taong
yun. Di naman ako kilala bakit ako yayayain.” It may be true that in our country that happens,
but maybe we lack trust with our fellow countrymen. Maybe we just need to be more patriotic.

5. How does life in the province differ from that in the city?

 First of all, it’s the early sleeping time that I like here at the province. First day I got here at
Nasugbu, I felt like I’m dying. Seriously. Being far from the city and the night was so silent and
the way is dark—no light posts, no anything but our car’s light. I remembered that it was just
7pm! Second is, life in the province can make you breath fresh air. Literally. At manila, by the
time you step out of the house, you get to breathe polluted air from cars, factories, and wastes
from canals. Not so nature friendly indeed. Lastly is that, people in the province are friendly
than the people in the city. Yes, they still got issues about each other but they talk about it in a
proper way than that of the city which they usually kill or fight over it.

6. Are you glad you have similarities, differences? Explain your answer.

 I am glad. Having similarities and differences with others only means I am normal. I get to share
my experiences with others that are similar to what my likes are. I get to compare people I have
different attitudes with. It may be an excellent idea for God to make unique people than to have
people with all same likes and attitudes.

7. How can the teacher utilize these similarities and differences in teaching you?

 Teachers can use these similarities and differences in creating tasks, groups or activities to make
it easy to learn. An example of this is, a teacher can put a student who is an introvert to be with
extroverts and ask them what it is to be like one. Good thing about it is, teachers can adapt with
their students with diverse environment.
