Criteria for Speaking Activity

Title of Activity: Using flash cards

Purpose:  To provide controlled practice where pupils are


focusing on producing the correct grammatical
form and pronunciation
 To the understanding of new concepts
 To develop social skill.
 To develop speaking and listening skills.

Grade \ level Grade 3

Context: Speaking (State of the matter: solid, liquid and gas)

Integration with Speaking integrate with listening, writing and, reading

Students will:
Instructions: 1. Students sit in their group
2. Each group should choose one flash card and talk about it in
their group.
3. After that, all the groups share their information together
4. Check their answer with their teacher

Justification:
This speaking activity is suitable for grade three, it develops their
speaking and social skills and to introduce new vocabulary, also to
understand new concepts about the new words. Also good for brain
building exercises. The children in this activity will speak to each other
to discuss the flash card that they chose it, and each other have a
different flash card. According to Brewster, "This activity is usually
developed social skills." This activity is also can improve student's
skills in reading; we can use the same activity to make the children
speak about any things like animals or colors. All the skills will get
improved through one activity. At the end of this activity, students will
feel confident while they speak and discuss with each other and share
their new information with each other.
