Strengths of the lesson:

1. The teacher asked the students to read the learning outcome for the lesson. It is
important to do this so that the students become aware of what they are supposed
to learn in the lesson at hand.
2. She reviewed the students what the markers (the interrogative punctuation mark
and the Wh-questions such as who, what, where, when, how, and why) are in order
to formulate question statements.
3. Playing a short cartoon video on The Lion King is a good way/technique to make the
students become interested in the lesson. The Lion King as a subject from which they
questions fits so well the lesson.
4. She elicited from the students questions statements based on each picture presented
on the white board.
5. The teacher’s voice is well modulated that it can be heard at the back of the
classroom.
6. The teacher was moving around to monitor students doing the different tasks.
7. The teacher read a good output of a student. This is a good idea to encourage others
to do well in doing their task.
8. The objective of the lesson was achieved.
Areas for development:
1. Before the video was played, it would have been better if the teacher conducted a short
socialized recitation asking the students if they have already watched the famous
cartoon movie The Lion King. She could have asked the students what they know or
remember about the cartoon movie. This is just to stir everyone’s interest in the movie
and to put everyone at ease.
2. The teacher needs to master how words are supposed to be spelled and how sentences
are supposed to be written, following the standard of good English.

Bad English Good English

a. Who Simb’s fathe? Who is Simba’s father?
b. Whay do you cary simba Why did he carry Simba?
c. How did simba be a Prince? How did Simba become a prince?
d. Do you know the story or no? Do you know the story or not?
e. Simba born Simba was born.
f. He dead. He died.
g. He find Samba. He found Samba.
h. He meet his friend. He met his friend.
3. Plan very well your lesson plan in all aspects, including the things you are going to
write on the board. You are not excused from committing mistakes or errors.
4. You should have a way of recording the scores of the students because you will need
them in computing the average score of the whole class. The average score will tell
you the confidence level you need in relation to the students’ mastery learning of your
lesson. The average score or mean percentage speaks about how far you have achieved
your objective--- the main essence of your teaching the lesson.
5. Most importantly, what you must do in CLOSING must not be the ASSESSMENT. In
closing, recap the lesson or make a generalization of the rules. The last activity which
is the evaluation activity must be the ASSESSMENT part of your lesson plan.

A = Exceptional, B = Very Good, C = Satisfactory, D = Marginal and F = Unsatisfactory
