may be relevant.

V. TIME ALLOTMENT: 3hours a week (45hours)

VI. Course Description:

This syllabus is designed for learners who are learning Special Education. The aim is to

make learners become familiar with special education, be aware of the purposes of programs for

individuals with exceptional learning needs, know and understand basic educational terminology

regarding students, programs, roles and instruction and become familiar with laws and

regulations for special education students.

VII. Course Objectives:

After successfully completing this course, students should be able to:

 Discuss purposes of programs for individuals with exceptional learning needs.

 Describe basic educational terminology regarding students, programs, roles and

instruction.

 Become familiar with laws and regulations for special education students.

 Examine roles and responsibilities parents, educators and teachers in support of students

with disabilities.
