Impact of Global Recession

Al Dastoor contracting and trading LLC. offer their services to major companies. Les

Construction companies are their major clients. Since construction companies were badly
affected by the global recession, it had impacted the company to a certain extent.

Even the fall in petrol prices affected the market place ,as the petrol prices fell in all GCC
countries it drastically affected the countries economy and even company activities .

As a part of cost cutting, many companies have limited the services of the company also fired
several employees.

Employees were fired from the lower end of the organization in order for cost cutting ,

Now, because of recession, the companies are not recruiting new employees and thus that
business had decreased.

The employee turnover also increased. Thus the companies cut their cost, decreases the
appraisal methods etc. Thus they limit the reward and recognition services from the company.

The disposable income of a person has decreased due to the slump of economy. The spending
habits of people including the employees has also decreased.

for doing specific tasks.. The HR department determine the salary, remuneration,
compensations etc for the employees.

The finance department at the office manages the inflow and outflow of finance. There are
different sections for the payment and collection of funds. They are also concerned with the
payment of the salary determined by the HR department.
