Comparing Cookies!

This Photo by Unknown Author

Hello parents! I have sent this Math activity with your child to help
them practice their comparison skills that we have been working
with in class. I have included all materials included along with a
checklist to help you and your child keep track of everything in this
bag. I have also included two books that I think your child will enjoy
reading with you.

Directions:

Ms. Rodriguez gave a mouse some chocolate chip cookies. Use your
math skills to help the mouse compare two cookies using <, >, or =.

1. Read the book If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.

2. Choose two cookies with numbers on the front of them.
3. Place both cookies next to each other leaving some space in
the middle.
4. Use the greater than >, less than <, or equal to = symbols to
compare the two numbers. For example, if you get a cookie
that has a number 12 and a cookie that has a number 8 you
will put the > symbol to represent 12 is greater than 8.
5. Write your answer with the dry erase marker on the dry erase
pouch. Here is an example of what
12 > 8
your chart will look like.
6. Have fun playing this comparison
game!
