The main things I learned about this source is that there is a direct connection between Commented [j3]: Rephrase possible sounds funky

pediatric primary care clinicians (PCCs) and access to child psychiatry resources such as

education on mental health and referral assistance by a PCC. I also learned that when

there is rapid access to mental health care, patients and PCCs both feel more fulfilled

after a consultation. There is an increase in ratings because of this which further supports

the connection between PCCs and access to child mental health care. This article is

relevant to my inquiry because of the background and test of a theory it provides. My Commented [j4]: What test of a theory

inquiry is based around providing children and teens with easier and quicker access to

large portion of the teenage population of the United States.

This article is a credible source due to the widespread organization that published the

article. The publisher is the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) which is an Commented [j6]: Good source

organization that performs research on adolescents concerning the physical, mental, and

social health ranging from infants to young adults. The organization consists of 66,000

pediatricians that all contribute to the research and studies/surveys performed by the

AAP. The AAP was founded in 1930 and now has 14 departments and 26 divisions that

all contribute to the overall mission of the organization. The AAP has the largest

publishing program around the globe ranging from internet articles to books/textbooks. Commented [j7]: Good credible source

As for funding, the American Academy of Pediatrics is funded through a membership

fee, profits from educational opportunities on pediatric health, and grants/donations from

larger companies or corporations.
