5. Discuss an accomplishment or event, formal or informal, that marked your transition from
childhood to adulthood within your culture, community, or family.
An event that my culture has is when girl is turning a grown women a by celebrity that
moment we do a party which is called a quniceanera. Which in my Mexican culture is
something really important to us because it’s a nice beautiful day of their daughter. My older
sister had on and so it’s a transition of my culture and also and family transition.
It’s a wonderful moment to be the princess for night and also just knowing that your
going to be adult how and not your parents a little girl no more. The best and sad part about
having a party is the father daughter dance it’s one of the nicely and the best moments of your
life. One day you don’t forget is having a day of just about you and no more else.
Also having the big dress and having your friends and family all there together. Since my
culture is really Mexican and likes all the loud music and lots of people it just made me feel like
everyone is having a good time. Having my family and friends celebrating one important a day
of me becoming an adult. That’s a day I will never forget while I grow old girls that have had
one could probably say the same.
It’s a marked that most Mexican have and that like to celebrate there’s daughter 15
years old there wonderful life. It’s a really big thing and deal to my family and it’s really
important to us and means a lot. One day when I have a my own daughters one day I will do the
same my parents because it’s part of my family now.
