Bonding Jumper, System.-
The connection between the grounded circuit
conductor and the equipment grounding bonding
conductor at the service or a separattly derived
systems.
La conexión entre el conductor del circuito puesto a tierra y el conductor de
unión de puesta a tierra del equipo, en la acometida o en un sistema
derivado separado.
Las partes metálicas son conectadas al terreno para
limitar las tensiones de descargas atmosféricas y
otros transitorios, NO para liberar una falla a tierra.
Article 100 - Definition– BONDING JUMPER SYSTEM (SBJ) : The
connection between the grounded circuit conductor and the equipment
grounding conductor at a separate derived system.
Suministrar una definicion para “sistema de puente de union”, tal como

ARC FAULT CIRCUIT PROTECTION (AFCI)
All 120-volt, single phase, 15 – and 20-ampere branch circuits
supplying all outlets installed in dwelling unit bedrooms shall be
protected by a listed arc-fault circuit interrupter (AFCI),
combination type installed to provide protection of the branch
circuit.
Branch/feeder AFCI’s (NEC 1999/2002) shall be permited to be
used to meet the requirements of 210.12(B) until January 1, 2008
FPN.- For information on types of AFCI, see UL-1699.- Standard for
AFCI;
Branch-circuit type AFCI: designed to operated when the arcs exceeds
75A peak (series arc-faults)
(and Combination type AFCI : designed to detect arcs as low as 5A
peak(series and paralell arc-faults)
