surprise story

On the carpet, I will explain to the children that we will read a story.
Before reading the story, I will ask the students questions, for example; what do you see on the cover? Can
you guess the girl name? what do you think the story is about? Predict what the surprise might be. Then,
read the blurb on the back cover? does this give any more clues about the surprise?
While reading the story, I will read with a loud voice, I will use my finger to trace the words while reading.
Time: 15 min
After reading the book, I will ask the students questions; did you like the story? What was your favorite part?

I will ask the students who is their best friend and what id the surprise they would make for him
Independent Experience (small group activity 1)
- Students will have worksheet, they will color the basket and fruits.
Students will connect the dots from 1 to 30 to complete the picture and then they will color the picture.
- Students will imagine what could they have in their basket for the surprise, they will draw the
surprise and complete the sentence.
