Principal responsibilities
The On-Site Plant Engineers are required to work, in shift, in Operation and Maintenance of Air
Separation Plants at various locations of Organization. Other than Shift Operation, the incumbents
shall be responsible, in general, for following activities based on their area of expertise (discipline).

Shift Plant operations (loading and unloading of plant),Process control and monitoring and analysis of
data and parameters, Plant troubleshooting ,Gas management for customer, operation of multiple
modes as per demand, Ensure process safety compliance, Equipment, identifying and response to
alarms and trips, Managing and operating customer backup system, critical field operations.

Equipment health monitoring and minor maintenance (cooling water system, oil systems, utilities
management), thermography, Analyzing and troubleshooting of equipment trips, Equipment
preventive maintenance,(look, listen and feel checks) and break-downs, Planning of Shutdown
activities etc

Maintenance and periodical calibration of Field Transmitters & Local Gauges, Analyzers, Control
Valves, conducting preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance, Capability of working on
Siemens PCS-7 / Yokogawa / Emersion DCS.

The incumbent for any of the above position needs to have following managerial skill sets

- Ability to communication (both verbal & written) in mother tongue, Hindi & English
- Ability to take focused & right decision based on facts & figures in crisis situations.
- Ability to coordinate amongst various involved entities

Functional Skill _____________________________________________________________________

The incumbent for any of the above position needs to have following functional skill sets based on the area
of expertise & experience
- Basic understanding of Plant & Process and ability to read & interpret PFD, P&ID, Electrical SLD,
Control Circuits, Control Logic, Flow calculations,
- Knowledge of hazard involved in operation & maintenance of process plants & equipment.
- Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance Planning and execution
- Ability to independently take charge of Shift including Plant Operation and Shift Maintenance,
Trouble shooting.

- Ability to dismantle rotating machines and undertake maintenance. Knowledge of dismantling and
assembling Centrifugal / Reciprocating of Compressors, Pumps.
- Ability to independently modify DCS & PLC Logic & Process Control Scheme, independently
dismantle control valves, calibration of Analyzers, Control Valves, Transmitters, Local Gauges

Qualification:_______________________________________________________________________

Graduate Engineer in Chemical / Mechanical / Instrumentation with three to five years of experience OR
Diploma in Chemical / Mechanical / Instrumentation with six to eight years of experience in Operation &
Maintenance in Continuous Process Chemical Industries.

Applicants having experience in Air Separation Industry involving Operation, Maintenance & Trouble-
shooting of Instrumentation & Control System / Large Centrifugal Compressors & Pumps / Preventive
Maintenance are preferred.
