The submission is in the form of an individual written report. This should be written in a concise, formal business
style using single spacing and font size 12. You are required to make use of headings, paragraphs and subsections
as appropriate, and all work must be supported with research and referenced using the Harvard referencing
system. Please also provide a bibliography using the Harvard referencing system. The recommended word limit is
2,000–2,500 words, although you will not be penalised for exceeding the total word limit.

As a newly appointed Human Resource Manager for an organisation of your choice, you have been asked with
leading on the restricting of the department as part of organizational change.
The Human Resources (HR) department will be restructured based on the findings of a review report, which you
have been asked to complete. You are to review the effectiveness of the HR function within the organisation,
researching the role and scope of HR and reviewing and assessing the main HR functions within the
organisation. This has to be submitted as a case study report.
Task 01: You have been asked to submit a report on how HRM functions are applicable to workforce planning
and resourcing in the organsation and to identify the approaches used for recruitment and selection and
evaluate the said approaches.
1.3 Identify and evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of different approaches to recruitment and

1.4 Critically evaluate the effectiveness of the recruitment and selection techniques in two organisations.

suitable positions.
2.1 You are going to convince and explain the management the benefits of different HRM practices within
an organisation for both the employer and for the employee. (P3)
