COMMERCIAL CORRESPONDENCE

This type of correspondence is made between companies or entities with which they
have some commercial relationship and among their customers. Among its advantages
we have through them it is possible to establish commercial contacts, offer services
and products, put in knowledge of the other economic alternatives, make a link
between the consumer and the seller, it is less expensive than a personal visit, besides
the letter arrives and the phone call may not be accepted. It provides a written record
of the transactions made and is confidential, as it is almost always read privately and
without interruption.

In summary we can say that the “Commercial Style” is the special way to write letters
tending to put in contact economic interests, with the effect of conducting business or
commercial transaction; that this correspondence belongs to the External
Communication of the company and is of a formal nature, since there is a written
testimony of the transaction through them.

Structure of the business letter

In total, the structure of a business letter consists of 11 different points, although

these can be reduced depending on the needs that are held for each moment. We can
differentiate the parts of the commercial letter in the following sections:

Dear Mr. Lewis,

In response to your ad in the Santa Monica Gazette, I am writing to apply for the
position of part-time assistant manager.

I have worked in many restaurants and cafes. I have also worked as a waitress in many
bars. I am now looking for a permanent position in this area. I am a quick learner and
would enjoy the opportunity to contribute my hard work and enthusiasm to your
organization.

Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to meeting you for an interview.

Sincerely,

Appreciable Alejandro:

I hereby inform you that on December 15, 2016, I witnessed an offense of which video
I recorded with my cell phone, and of which I have all the details.

Because it is a crime of civil order committed by local authorities, I do not know who to
turn to, so I have decided to contact you before contacting the affected party, to know
what steps I must take to help without being compromised.

For this purpose, I have made an appointment with the affected party and I await your
response to know if you support my decision and accompany us, because after your
confirmation I will notify you of the meeting where you say to be able to make clear
things and to deliver the material.

Waiting for your reply I send a greeting,

Sincerely,

Ricardo Flores Prado
