EPOMID E 3200 products are two- component enamels based on epoxy resins with amide curing.
Good resistance to alkaline and acid mediums, good resistance to petroleum products (mineral oil,
petrol, gas oil, hydrocarbons, etc.), good resistance to humidity, very good resistance to neutral salt
spray, good weather resistance, excellent adherence to substrate, high mechanical characteristics,
good hiding power.

Utilizare Produsele E 3200 sunt indicate ca strat final in sistemele de protectie a reperelor din metal
Recommended use care se exploateaza in mediu marin, in industria petroliera, industria chimica si industria
alimentara, care lucreaza in medii cu agresivitate clasa 1m- 4m.
Sunt utilizate pentru:
-protectia interioara si exterioara a rezervoarelor si tancurilor de stocare a apei potabile,
lichidelor alimentare (aviz sanitar nr: 5393/ 28.06.2001 al Ministerului Sanatatii), produse
petroliere (uleiuri minerale, benzina, motorina, hidrocarburi), ape reziduale, a buteliilor de
gaze;
-in domeniul constructiei si reparatiei navelor si platformelor marine, pentru protectia
tancurilor de balast si de stocare a apei potabile si produselor lichide, punti interioare sau
exterioare, instalatii din compartimentul masinilor, pompe, filtre, magazii frigorifice,
motoare principale;
-protectia utilajelor din industria alimentara, farmaceutica, chimica, a constructiilor de
masini, vagoane si diverse utilaje;
-protectia constructiilor metalice diverse: poduri, macarale, structuri de rezistenta;
-pardoseli din beton si suprafete cu calitati antistatice, repere supuse abraziunii si socului
mecanic;
Emailurile seria E 3200 pot fi aplicate pe metal, lemn, beton, poliester si alte materiale
similare.
Sunt recomandate pentru climatele: TH, TA, MT, F, N, M.
E 3200 products are recommended as final coat in protective systems for metal parts exploited in
the marine environment, oil industry, chemical industry and food industry, which work in
environments with aggressiveness of 1m - 4 m class.
They are used for:
-inside and outside protection of tanks of drinking water, food liquids (Sanitary Notification No:
5393/28.06.2001), petroleum products (mineral oils, petrol, gas oil, hydrocarbons, etc.), waste water,
as well as gas bottles.
-within the field of ships and marine platforms construction and repairing, for protecting the ballast,
drinking water and liquid tanks, inside and outside decks, equipment from engine rooms, pumps,
filters, cold rooms, main motors etc.
-protection of equipment from food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries, mechanical
engineering, wagons and different outfits.
-protection of different metallic constructions: bridges, cranes, resistance structures.
-concrete floors and antistatic surfaces, parts exposed to abrasion and mechanical shock
E 3200 series enamels can be applied on metal, wood, concrete, polyester and other similar
materials.
They are recommended for TH, TA, MT, F, N, M climates.

PREGATIREA Gradul de pregatire a suportului este determinant in obtinerea performantelor sistemului
SUPRAFETEI de protectie. Suportul nu trebuie sa aiba defecte de suprafata (suprapuneri de material,
SURFACE fisuri, stropi de sudura, etc.).
PREPARATION Suprafete metalice noi: sablare la gradul Sa 2½ in conformitate cu SRENISO 8501-1:2007
sau 2 conform STAS 10166 / 1- 77, pregatirea suprafetei realizandu-se in conformitate cu
SRENISO 8504-1:2002, SRENISO 8504-2:2002, SREN ISO 8504-3:2002.
Se desprafuieste apoi suprafata cu aer comprimat.Pentru protectia temporara este
necesara utilizarea unui shopprimer(ex:G 3202-1sau GSP 3273).
Defectele care apar la protectia cu shopprimer sau diferitele contaminari ivite in intervalul
de timp dintre depozitare si fabricatie vor fi remediate inaintea aplicarii sistemului final de
protectie. Pentru reparatii si finisari utilizati grunduri seria G 3200S, seria G 3201,
G 3202-1.
Suprafete metalice vechi: indepartare vopsea veche, degresare cu detergent,
indepartarea sarii sau a altor contaminanti prin curatare cu apa la presiune ridicata,
sablare la minim Sa 2 sau curatare mecanica la gradul St 3 (periere energica in directii
perpendiculare), desprafuire.
The degree of substrate preparation is decisive for the protective system performance.
The substrate should not present surface defects (material overlapping, cracks, welding drops, etc).
New metallic surfaces: abrasive blasting at Sa 2½ in accordance with SRENISO 8501-1:2007 or 2 in
accordance with STAS 10166 / 1 -77, surface preparation is achieved in accordance with SRENISO
8504-1:2002, SREN ISO 8504-2:2002, SREN ISO 8504-3:2002.Then the surface is dusted with

All damages of shopprimer and contamination from storage and fabrication should be cleaned prior
to the final painting. For repair and touch-up use the primers G 3200S series, G 3201, G 3202-1.
Old metallic surfaces: removal of the existing paint, degreasing with detergent, removal of salt or
other contaminants by high pressure fresh water cleaning, abrasive blasting minimum Sa 2 or
mechanical cleaning at St3 (strong brushing in perpendicular directions), dedusting.

Pregatirea suprafetelor din beton


Pregatirea suprafetelor interioare si exterioare noi
Se lasa sa se usuce perfect suprafata. Timpul minim de intarire al betonului la 20°C si
50% umiditate relativa este de 28 zile.
Se indeparteaza eventuala eflorescenta cu o tesatura grosiera sau prin periere la intervale
de maxim 15 zile.
Vopsirea va incepe numai dupa stoparea eflorescentei.
Se curata suprafata de murdarie, stropi de tencuiala, praf.
Pentru exploatari severe suprafata din beton trebuie sa fie sablata sau decapata acid
astfel:
-se umecteaza suprafata cu solutie de acid clorhidric 10%;
-se lasa solutia in contact cu betonul timp de 5-10 minute sau pana inceteaza
barbotarea de gaze;
-se spala cu apa curata si se freaca suprafata cu o perie rigida.
Se clateste cu apa curata pana la pH = 6 -7.
Se usuca bine suprafata si se aplica apoi amorsa epoxidica (G 3200 S, G 3201, L 3200).
Dupa 24 ore se aplica straturile de email E 3200 conform tehnologiei.

Pregatirea suprafetelor vopsite in prealabil, contaminate


Se efectueaza curatarea grosiera prin periere, raschetare, s.a.
Se spala suprafata cu apa si detergent, urmata de clatire pentru indepartarea urmelor de
grasimi si a altor contaminanti.
Dupa uscare, se efectueaza sablare usoara (ex: cu nisip) sau asperizare cu perii metalice
sau/si panza abraziva, pentru activarea suprafetei. Desprafuirea suprafetei trebuie sa fie
avansata - urmele de praf inrautatesc aderenta. Imediat, se aplica straturile de email
E 3200 conform tehnologiei. Pentru reparatii locale (zone descoperite pana la substrat) se
utilizeaza amorsa epoxidica (G 3200 S, G 3201, L 3200).

Preparation of the concrete surfaces


Preparation of the new indoor and outdoor surfaces
Let the surface dry completely. The minimum curing time of the concrete at 20°C and 50% relative
humidity is of 28 days.
Remove the possible efflorescence with a coarse cloth or by brushing at intervals of maximum
15 days.
Start painting only after stopping the efflorescence.
Remove the dirt, plaster drops, dust.
In case of exploiting under severe conditions the concrete surface should be blasted or prepared by
acid pickling as follows:
-wet the surface with 10% solution of hydrochloric acid
-let the solution in contact with the concrete for 5-10 minutes or till gas bubbling stops
-wash with clean water and rub the surface with a stiff brush.
Rinse with clean water up to a pH value equal to 6 -7.
Dry the surface well, then apply the epoxy primer (G 3200 S, G 3201, L 3200).
After 24 hours apply the subsequent coats of enamel E 3200 according to the usual technology.

Preparation of the previously painted, contaminated surface


The rough cleaning should be done by brushing, scraping, etc.
Surface cleaning should be done with water and detergent, followed by rinsing for removing the
traces of greases and other contaminants.
After drying, soft blasting (e.g.: with sandblasting) or roughing with metallic brushes and/or abrasive
paper should be effectuated in order to activate the surface.
Surface dedusting should be advanced - dust traces worsen the adherence.
The coats of enamel E 3200 should be applied immediately according to the technology.
For local repair (uncoated areas down to the substrate) the epoxy primer (G 3200 S, G 3201,
L 3200) should be used.

CONDITII DE Emailurile seria E 3200 se vor aplica pe suprafete curate si uscate, ce vor avea
APLICARE temperaturi peste temperatura punctului de roua pentru evitarea condensarii umiditatii pe
APPLICATION suport. Umiditatea relativa va fi de max. 70%. Aplicarea decurge in conditii optime daca se
CONDITIONS asigura o temperatura a mediului ambiant si a amestecului de 10-30°C.
E 3200 series enamels should be applied only on dry and clean surfaces with temperatures above
the dew point temperature in order to avoid condensation. The relative humidity should be of max.
70%. Application is made under optimal conditions if is ensured a temperature of the ambient
environment and mixture of 10-30°C.

Observatie Emailurile seria E 3200 sunt destinate acoperirilor profesionale.


Remark
E 3200 series enamels are destined to professional uses.

INSTRUCTIUNI DE Se conditioneaza componentii la temperatura de 10-30°C, se omogenizeaza bine si apoi


APLICARE se prepara amestecul: 100 parti (masic) email + 50 parti (masic) intaritor. Pe durata
APPLICATION timpului de prereactie (60 minute) se continua amestecarea prin agitare. Dupa prereactie
INSTRUCTIONS si inainte de aplicare se dilueaza amestecul in proportiile recomandate sau in proportiile
necesare pentru a obtine grosimile de pelicula cerute.
Astfel pregatite, emailurile seria E 3200 se pot aplica:
-pe suprafete metalice noi, sablate la minim Sa 2 ½.
-pe suprafete metalice care au mai fost acoperite, pregatite corespunzator.
-ca strat final in sistemele de protectie epoxidice ale suprafetelor din otel, peste grundurile
epoxidice (de ex: seriile G 3202-1, G 3201, G 3200S), grunduri cu etilsilicat (de ex:
G 4101) sau functie de recomandari, respectand timpii de reacoperire ai produselor
respective.
-pe suprafete metalice neferoase (zinc, aluminiu, s.a.), pregatite mecanic corespunzator
(sablare, periere, slefuire, s.a.) si tratate cu grunduri reactive (de ex: seria G 4100P).
-pe suprafete din beton si elemente de zidarie noi, verificate ca rezistenta mecanica,
uscate, desprafuite si fara urme de lapte de ciment, in sistem cu amorsa epoxidica
(G 3201, G 3200S, L 3200).
-se pot aplica si prin pulverizare in camp electrostatic.
Straturile succesive de email seria E 3200 se pot aplica:
-dupa uscarea completa la aer (24 ore la 20°C) a stratului anterior sau dupa 20 minute de
la uscarea fortata la 50- 80°C a acestuia.
-in sistem ud/ud, aplicat prin pulverizare, la 20 - 30 minute dupa aplicarea stratului
anterior, urmat de uscare la aer sau fortata (50 - 80°C).
The components should be conditioned at 10-30°C, thoroughly homogenized and then the mixture
should be prepared as follows: 100 parts (by weight) enamel + 50 parts (by weight) curing agent.
During the pre-reaction time (60 minutes) keep on mixing by stirring. After pre-reaction time and
before application the mixture should be thinned in recommended proportions or in necessary
proportions for obtaining the required thickness of the film.
Thus prepared the E 3200 series enamels can be applied:
-over new metallic surfaces blasted at minimum Sa 2 ½.
-over metallic surfaces coated before, properly prepared.
-as top coat in epoxy protective systems for steel substrates, over epoxy primers (e.g.: G 3202-1,
G 3201, G 3200S), ethylsilicate primers (e.g.: G 4101) or according to recommendations, complying
with the re-coating time.
-over non-ferrous metallic surfaces (zinc, aluminium, etc.) properly prepared mechanically by
(blasting, brushing, polishing, etc.) and treated with reactive primers (e.g.: G 410OP).
-over concrete surfaces and new masonry surfaces, with tested mechanical resistance, dried,
dedusted and free of cement grout, in system with epoxy primer (G 3201,G 3200S, L 3200).
-they can also be applied by spraying in electrostatic field.
Successive coats of E 3200 enamel can be applied as follows:
-after complete air drying (24 hours at 20°C) of the previous coat or 20 minutes after forced drying at
50- 80°C.
-in wet-on-wet system, applied by spraying , 20-30 minutes after previous coat application, followed
by air drying or forced drying (50- 80°C).

REACOPERIRE In conditiile unei ventilatii suficiente, intervalele optime de reacoperire, pentru grundurile
RE-COATING ce constitue baza unui sistem de vopsire cu emailuri seria E 3200, la temperatura de 20°C
sunt urmatoarele (grosime de strat uscat de 50 µm - pentru grundurile seria G 3200S,
G 3202-1, seria G 3201 sau G 4101 si 15 -20 µm - pentru grunduri reactive):
Under conditions of sufficient ventilation, the optimum re-coating intervals, for the primers which
make up the base of a painting system with enamels of E 3200 series, at 20°C temperature (50 µm
dry film thickness - for the primers: G 3200S series, G 3201series, G 3202-1 or G 4101 and 15 -20
µm - for reactive primers : G 4100P series ) are as follows:

Peste grundurile bogate in zinc G 3202-1, G 4101 se recomanda aplicarea unui strat mult mai diluat de email E 3200
(la limita superioara a dilutiei pentru pulverizare), urmat de zvantare 15-30 minute si aplicarea unui strat de email E 3200 mai plin.
Se evita astfel aparitia defectelor de pelicula.

Over the zinc rich primers (G 3202-1, G 4101) it is recommended the application of the one coat of E 3200 enamel, more
diluted (at superior limit of the dilution for air- spraying), followed by drying (15-30 minutes) and the application of one coat (more
full) of E 3200 enamel.Thus avoid the appearance of the film fault.

Observatii Inainte de reacoperire, dupa expunerea in medii contaminate, suprafetele vor fi bine
Remarks curatate prin spalare cu jet de apa la presiune ridicata, urmata de uscare. In cazul
depasirii intervalului maxim de reacoperire, se va proceda la o asperizare a suprafetei
pentru a se asigura o buna aderenta pentru straturile urmatoare.
Atingerea intervalelor maxime de reacoperire, asigurarea unei bune aderente, precum si
bune proprietati mecanice implica asigurarea urmatoarelor:
-grundul trebuie aplicat intr-o grosime de strat uscat in jurul valorii de 50 µm pentru
grundurile seria G 3200S, G 3202-1, seria G 3201 sau G 4101 si 15 -20 µm - pentru
grundurile reactive;
-stratul de grund obtinut trebuie sa fie uniform, de buna calitate si fara urme de pulverizare
uscata;
-conditiile de uscare si intarire vor fi conform celor specificate la punctul CONDITII DE
APLICARE pana la intarirea completa;
-suprafetele TREBUIE sa fie perfect curate inaintea reacoperirii;
-suprafetele vopsite pot fi expuse doar pentru scurte perioade de timp direct la lumina
solara (UV).
Before re-coating, after exposure in contaminated environment, clean the surface thoroughly by
(high pressure) fresh water jetting and let it dry. If the maximum re-coating interval is exceeded,
roughening of the surface is necessary to ensure good intercoat adhesion to following coats.
For reaching the maximum re-coating intervals, ensuring a good adherence as well as good
mechanical properties the following conditions should be ensured:
-the primer has a dry film thickness as near as possible to 50µm for the primers: G 3200S series,
G 3201series, G 3202-1 or G 4101 and 15 -20 µm for the reactive primers : G 4100P series;
-the film formed is uniform, qualitative and "dry spray- free";
-the drying and curing conditions are according to the APPLICATION CONDITIONS until full cure is
obtained;
-the surfaces MUST be completely clean before re-coating;
-the coated surfaces can be exposed only for short periods, directly to sunlight (ultra-violet light).

SECURITATEA MUNCII Toate operatiile de manipulare, transport, depozitare, utilizare se vor realiza respectand cu
WORK SAFETY strictete normele de prevenire a incendiilor, normele de protectia muncii si igiena sanitara.
Se interzice: prezenta oricaror surse de foc, vopsirea in spatii fara o ventilatie
corespunzatoare, contactul direct al pielii cu produsul respectiv, inhalarea prelungita a
vaporilor, ingerarea produsului.
All the operations of handling, transport, storage and use should be accomplished in strict
compliance with the fire prevention, safety and health norms. The presence of any fire source,
painting in areas without adequate ventilation, direct contact of skin with the respective product,
prolonged inhalation of vapors and ingestion of the product should be forbidden.

NOTA Toate aceste date au caracter general privind performantele si utilizarea produsului, de
