It is with great honor and pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for a student of mine, Tony
Reyes. Tony has been enrolled at Garza Independence High School since the beginning of his senior and has
worked with determination on the course credits he has received. Our curriculum at Garza Independence
High School is completely self paced so that students finish credits when they have met the curriculum
requirements of each course.
Tony was enrolled in my Forensics class at Garza High School. Tony worked consistently from the time he
entered the classroom to the time class ended. He received high A’s on all of his assignments and took time
to revise any work he misunderstood to truly understand the curriculum. Tony was also a student I could
partner with any student to complete labs and classwork. He finished a year long course in just a little over
6 months time.
Tony is a very recognized student on campus. He received a student of the semester award from me for his
hard work and perseverance. Tony was also voted to be the alternate student rep on the principal's student
advisory cabinet for my advisory. At the end of the year Garza Awards Ceremony Tony received a student
of the year award from his computer science teacher. He is hard-working, determined, studious, intelligent,
and a great learner and it shows from the recognition he has received from his teachers.
I highly recommend Tony for anything he will pursue after high school. He will be extremely successful in
an engineering program and he has all the qualities of a great engineer. His attention to detail and ability to
focus on a problem until he has a solution are strong qualities he possesses that will help him succeed in the
engineering field. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any other information.
Sincerely,
Nicole Howard
