SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Shortened Sales Cycle Process. Realized JacksonLea was missing sales due to a complicated and manually
operated quoting process. Investigated and designed streamlined system, reducing quoting time from six weeks to
less than a minute. Improved sales cycles and contributed to boosting annual sales up to $48M.
Championed Growth Strategies. Cultural and infrastructure issues slowed JacksonLea JV operation in China.
Identified and addressed issues, automated systems, and changed buying habits. Created and implemented 10-
year strategic plan. Sustained steady growth, increasing unit’s annual revenues from $900K to $5M in five years.
Established Presence in Mexico. JacksonLea had tried and failed several times over the past decade to expand
manufacturing operations into Mexico. Evaluated demographics, identified competitors, and negotiated acquisition.
Increased annual sales from $250K to $6M in four years, meeting five year plan in four years.
Gained Foothold in Thailand. Many US-based customers were moving manufacturing operations overseas and
JacksonLea needed to maintain business channel. Negotiated license agreements and trained staffs. Picked up
regional business almost immediately, receiving $50K+ in royalties and payments for excess equipment.
Prototyped and Patented Product. Recognized industry need for an improved product. Met with JacksonLea
manufacturing plant leaders, finishing experts, and hired an engineering group. Improved product design, lowered
production costs, and spearheaded changes to recapture market share.
Introduced New Products. Matchless had a basic commodity product line and I was hired to find and capitalize on
alternative market opportunities. Provided R&D teams feedback for product development. Launched four new
product lines, meeting industry needs. Retained clients and strengthened company product portfolio.
CAREER HISTORY
COO, Matchless Metal Polish, 2007 to Present. Recruited to manage multi-site manufacturing operations for this
privately held finishing supply industry leader. Directed sales, product development, process improvements, R&D,
distribution, and logistics. Managed staff of 50 and $6M operating budget.
VP, Overseas Operations, JacksonLea, 1998 to 2006. Promoted to manage JVs, acquisitions, and licensee
operations for Mexico, Taiwan, China, Canada, Thailand, Shanghai, Europe and Brazil for this global manufacturer.
Ensured license compliance. Sourced raw materials for global contracts. Managed up to 400 staff and $8M budget.
Director of Abrasive Product Sales, JacksonLea, 1992 to 1998. Sold own company “Buckeye Products” to
JacksonLea and brought on integrate sales, product, and technology into existing accounts. Moved into overseeing
global product line sales. Identified, leveraged, and moved to purchase international competitors.
Personal interests include playing golf, fishing, charity work, and traveling with family and friends.
