Some remembrances of Violet

gathered via email and Face Book

Vi had such a giving heart to serve and share in spite of her own
limitations. For the short time she was in Plainfield her dedication
was amazing. She would call me to see what needed to be done. I
am sure if we had the clients, Miss Vi would have shared His love
with many. I am grateful for her example of what faithfulness look
like.… rejoicing for Sister Vi, knowing she was ready and desiring
to be with the Lord. We'll miss her presence even though she
hasn't been able to be with us for a while.

Vi was a special person - a real prayer warrior, thoughtful with

sending notes and cards, a real encourager, a servant committed to
the Lord's work, and a very faithful member of Evangel. Her
family and friends will miss her, but the confidence of knowing
where she is - is wonderful.

Violet's service for the least of these carries a profound reward
from the The Almighty. Many people are familiar with the words
Jesus spoke concerning His return in Matthew 25 when we stand
before the King and he says to those on His right hand, "‘Come,
you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you
from the foundation of the world.." Included in the reasons are "for
I was hungry and you gave Me food" and "I was naked and you
clothed Me;" The most powerful part we remember is when he
reveals to them that as much as they did it for the least of these,
they did it for Him.

The mystery of the impression that a pro-life laborer makes upon

God is listed in an obscure part of scripture in the twelfth chapter
of Luke. It is often overlooked because Jesus is challenging us not
to worry. He says "Life is more than food, and the body is more
than clothing." (Luke 12:23) If the King of kings, is pleased that
someone gave food and provided clothing for the least of these,
just think how pleased He is with someone who serves to keep a
child alive and prevent their little bodies from being destroyed.
Just think how pleased He is with His servant, Violet.

Vi Brown was a loved and respected dear sister in the Lord

whom I have had the pleasure to know over the past few years.
Both her and Lee have supported Comforting Hearts
Ministries because they had a heart for those who suffered.

I suppose that heart was at the center of all she did. She served
her Lord Jesus Christ with passion and dignity and she will be
truly missed.

"So sorry to hear that, please let Lee know that our prayers are
with him at this time - Vi and Lee really made Evangel a Great
place - I'm sure she will be greatly missed. Let us know if we can
do anything for Lee"

I worked with Vi doing the ultrasound for the past few years. She
was always enthusiastic with me and with the women we scanned.
She never hesitated to share Jesus with others and encourage them
to have their babies. She always had a smile on her face, I
don't think I ever saw her in a bad mood or cross with anyone. She
always spoke highly of her family whom she loved dearly.

"I don’t even know what to say. Vi was always so happy to see
us.. made me feel at home from the first time we talked "
Jim Szyszkiewicz (EBC) via FaceBook
"She was an amazing example to others of God's love, grace and
faithfulness. My love and prayers prayers go out to Lee and her
entire family. "

She'll be missed around these parts (Earth). I hope she

gets to give the Father a great, big hug and HE
hugs her right back
