Giving introduction
Giving introduction and basic questions in talkingadmission or in the other situation are used to
aks some simple information such as asking the name, addresse, age, and ect. In this chapter, it
tells you how to introduce yourself and the others as well. Here are common procedures of
giving introductions from new nurse to the patient.
1. Greeting
good morning, good afternoon, good evening.
2. Introducing and initiating
I’m nurse …..(your name)
I am not able to take care of you today, but there will be another handling it
3. Addressing
So I’d like to address you to…. ( the other nurses)
This is nurse Rachel, and she’ll take care of you today
4. Response
Hi, I’m nurse Rachel, I’ll take care of you today
5. Pre- closing
Well, now I’d like to check another patient
If you need my help, just caal me by pressing the button number 1
6. Closing
Get better soon and see you again
Don’t forget to drink your capsule see you later.
B. Grammar focus
All sentences are divided intotwo forms, those are nominal and verbal sentences.
Nominal sentence is a sentence in which the subject is followed by adjective, noun,
adverb of place, or adverb of time; while verbal sentence is a sentence in which the
subject is followed by one or more verbs. Now, please take look at some examplas below.
