TRANSER GOAL: Pupils on their own and in the long run initiate conversations with peers using correct grammar in communicating effectively in oral and written
forms and appreciate story grammar by responding to literary text.

TRANFER TASK SCENARIO GOAL: Deliver news items like newscasters on TV. You also need to use appropriate words and correct kinds of sentences/statements and
also answer some questions from texters at the end of the report.

ROLE: You are reporters broadcasting on a TV network.

AUDIENCE: Tele-viewers who are your classmates.

SITUATION: You were asked to take the place of a reporter during his/her absence. You will be reporting on television.

PRODUCT 1: From a newspaper, you can choose the kind of news you like to report on: science, weather, community, world, or sports. Whichever you choose, you
should rewrite it to fit a report on TV. You should be able to choose the right words and the right kinds of sentences to use. At the end of your report, some
of your classmates will ask two questions by texting these to the station. You should be able to answer their questions.
Standard- Your performance will be rated based on the clarity of the news, manner of delivery, and your ability to answer the questions. ( see rubric below )
