The poem expresses gratitude to God for creating humanity from clay and dust, and shaping them with his holy hand. It acknowledges God's commandments to worship only him, not kill or lie, and not believe in idols of gold and silver. The poem praises God for making all things including angels, the moon and sun, but most of all for his great love and mercy.
