More than 100 message templates may contain variable values from PLCs or the Tixi Data Gateway.
Message Templates Destination addresses and PLC variables are defined as references.
Message length is not restricted (only by memory size).

Neutral Data
All data of local systems connected to the device (PLCs, meters, sensors etc) are managed by means of a
neutral variable table (XML). These XML-data are independent of their origin.
Data Converter All Tixi functions use these neutral data.
Local PLC data may thus be translated from one system to another, e.g. meter data may be handed to a
PLC or BMS (building management system).

Data Logger
All values (e.g. PLC or meter values) may be logged on a regular basis.
Data Logging (e.g. every 1 min, 15 min, 1h, 1d, …) or upon certain events.
Data is automatically compressed (binary format).
Saved Log data may be sent as E-Mail attachments at scheduled times or as a result of any event. Their
Data Dispatch
format is to be freely defined, such as XML or Microsoft Excel CSV.

Embedded Webserver
The user may create custom websites with any HTML editor, including XML placeholders for system values.
By means of these websites, current data may be displayed or custom input masks can be defined.
Webserver
Common Gateway Interface (CGI) for dynamic read and write of values and for log data readout.
Special SSI (Server side Includes) allow embedding of values and log data into websites.

Remote Control
Switching commands may be transmitted via E-Mail, HTTP or TiXML command onto the Tixi Data Gateway.
Switching Commands
HTTP and TiXML commands may be defined freely and may contain e.g. setpoint values.
If need be, the device may send confirmation commands upon receipt and execution of a remote switching

command, in order to report the positive (or negative) result of such.

Programmable Features
Event Calendar may trigger the following actions:
- Creation of logfile entries or dispatch of logfiles,
Scheduler - Switching I/Os or setting PLC variables,
- Dispatch of periodic status messages
- Automatic shift schedules may change the receiver of messages.
Functions (e.g. AND, OR, XOR, NOT) and
Logical Operations Comparisons (z.B. GT, LT, EQ) can be applied to variable values,
even along with time schedules, may trigger actions.
Time-dependent data arrays can be preset over a specific span of time, either via configuration or by
message. E.g monitoring of current values and dispatch of messages in case that current values exceed
Sequencer min./max. curves (depending on a time grid of 15-min-steps up to one year).
Several curve sets may be used in conjunction or as separate data sets.
Arithmetic Operations Simple arithmetics (ADD, SUB, MUL, DIV) allows calculation with PLC and variable values.

Configuration
TiXML is the XML based command language used to configure Tixi devices.
TiXML
Via TiXML, programs and devices may easily communicate with Tixi devices.
Configuration TiXML via TCP/IP or COM1 RS232 or via batch file on an SD card.
Access to the Tixi device and to the configuration is protected by several levels of login and password - both
