The top is covered by a thin layer of gold, eight rubies and eight emeralds. This is crowned by a blue enamelled
golden globe, On this is a cross as a close of 11 diamonds. 
The ribbons of the tiara, they bear the coat of arms of the new pontifex and are decorated with topazes, emeralds
and other precious stones. 
This, together with the six rows of precious pearls, 146 jewels in different colors and 11 diamonds, gives a splendid
pope tiara.

Coronation Tiara of Pius XI

The Pope Benedict XV, is a magnificent sample of the goldsmith's and jeweler's work. It is formed on a base of a
very fine felt covered with a kind of silver mesh on which there are three crowns. Each one is in full cameras
resolution with different association terms. 

There are 90 pearls in each row, making 540 pearls in all. 

The first crown is, in addition to the pearls, adorned in the order given with 16 rubies, three emeralds, a hyacinth, an
aquamarine, three rubies, a sapphire, and Eight gold points with five garnets and two balas rubies. The second
crown has 10 emeralds, 8 balas rubies, one chrysolite, two aquamarines, six small rubies and three sapphires.

one garnet, eight gold floral ornaments each with two emeralds, one balas ruby, a chrysolite and eight gold points,
