REQUIREMENTS Qualified Electrician with N3 Certificate. Code 10 or C1 drivers License (PDP)

EXPERIENCE 3 years in an electrical environment.
DUTIES All work related to maintenance and construction on the Municipal Public Lighting and distribution network which
operates at 88/33/22/11KV and 400 Volts electricity distribution network. Work over weekends and Public Holidays. Do
standby duties as and when required.

SALARY Job level 08 of a Grade 11 Local Authority R411 612 (Calculated up to a maximum total cost to council per annum
inclusive of housing subsidy and other benefits i.e. medical aid, U.I.F, pension and group insurance).
REQUIREMENTS National diploma: Water Care or Chemical Engineering/NQF 3 in Operation of Water and Waste Water Process
and Register as Class III Process Controller Certificate under Regulation 17 for the operation of waste water
care works. Code 08 Drivers License.
COMPETENCIES Verbal and written communication skills. Personnel management skills. Extensive knowledge of water and waste water
treatment processes.
EXPERIENCE 3 years in water and waste water treatment plant.
DUTIES Assist the plant superintendent in the daily running of the activated sludge plant or biological trickling filter plant so that
the quality of effluent and its associated sludge produced to comply with the license conditions issued by DWA.
Organize and record inspection results. Interpret laboratory results and do adjustments accordingly. Plan and provide
for maintenance services by means of best practices in order to ensure compliance with OHS-Act, Department of
Labour and standard general safety and environment compliance. Record all equipment failure. Report all equipment
failure to the maintenance department. Be able to work overtime and on public holidays as and when required. Do

REQUIREMENTS N2/NQF Level 2 (136 Credits) in the Operations of Water and Waste water treatment process and register as
Class II Process Controller with DWS Regulation 17 for the operation of waste water care works. Code 08

EXPERIENCE 2-3 years in water and waste water treatment plant.
DUTIES Responsible for the daily operations of the waste water treatment works and to ensure the optimum efficiency thereof
during his shift also assisting the Process Controller Class III. Conduct inspection and record inspection results. Be able

Labour and EPWP for poverty alleviation. Receive and capture applications on the indigent database (Venus System).
Develop, update and manage an indigent database. Conduct research projects awareness programmes and campaigns to

DUTIES Maintenance of pools by ensuring that pools are suctioned, backwashed, swept, water quality tested and necessary
chemical added to ensure that the facility and the pools are in proper condition to be used. Maintenance of grass areas
and gardens by ensuring that grass is cut and bedding is done to make the facility attractive to the public by controlling
machine operators and General workers. Maintenance of office complex, club houses and ablution by using chemicals
etc. Ensure hygienic conditions, by controlling cleaners/General Workers. Doing the books banking of money by doing
daily collecting of money from Cashier and completing the income diary to ensure no losses are incurred by council.
Complete time sheet, leave form and all other administration necessary to ensure a proper service delivery according to
Council’s Rules and Regulation. Obtain necessary quotations etc to maintain the facility and adhere to Council’s rules and
regulations by advertising or tendering. Act as a lifeguard to ensure the safety of all public members and do first and
where and when necessary. Supervision of all council employees working at the pool by frequent, patrols to safeguard
Council from claims, losses and to ensure the public safety.

DUTIES Conduct field visits and interview clients who apply for indigent status. Verify applicants who have applied for indigent
database. Receive and capture applications on the indigent database (Venus System). Develop, update and manage the
indigent data base. Assist Social Workers when conducting research projects and campaigns. Liaise with Finance
Department and make requests for extensions whilst applications for clients who qualify for indigent subsidy are being
finalized. Assist with the development and implementation of communication with community members and applicants.
Take active leadership and participation in Social Development reviews and sub-district visits. Organize community and
