However, if the actual condition is found good based on the
result of measurement for gaps of bearings, pull or removal of a
rudder might be omitted. (For it is applied only to ones with
measures for the check of corrosion in rudder head material)
1.5 Pressure test
-1. At the time of the first inspection 10 years after the construction
and following inspection which are done in every 12 years,
pressure test is done according to next table. Pressure test, in
principle, should be water pressure test or water injection test.
Item Testing Pressure
Double bottom Water high pressure from top plating
to upper end of air pipe or water high
pressure from top plating to bulkhead
deck whichever is the greater
Forepeak tank or The height pressure from top plating
afterpeak used as water to next listed positions whichever is
tank or oil tank the greater
1. Upper end of overflow pipe
2. Load line
3. Point where 2/3 of vertical
distance from upper starting point
of ship depth to top plating is
measured vertically to upper
direction from the top plating
Deep tank
Cargo oil tank of a tanker Pressure which is the same as water
height pressure from top plating to
the top of a hatch
Cofferdam which is not
used as a pump room
also
Cofferdam which is also Pressure by water injection with inner
used as a pump room 2
hose pressure of 2 kg/cm or more
also

Tanks of a tanker other Same as cargo oil tank of a tanker
than for dangerous goods
-2. As a result of appearance test of inside and outside of a hull, if a
