and ensure that they received appropriate academic and professional advice
through the commencement of their professional education programme (students
prerequisite knowledge and skill to advance) to completion?

B.Ed. curriculum. They are also made aware of the qualities of being a responsible
and competent teacher which the societies expect from them. They are given the
opportunities to express themselves so that the faculty gets an idea about their
perception, their entering behaviour and their preparedness to meet the challenges of
the training programme. Before the commencement of the practice teaching
programme the Supervisors ask the students to prepare some lesson plans, the
Supervisors get some idea about the students background and their preparedness in
the concerned teaching subjects.

documents on education and new books are source of academic motivation for the
students. Further, extension lectures of eminent educationists motivate students for
excelling in their performance.

Individual attention, closer contact between students and faculty members through
tutorials and society activities give assurance, motivation and satisfaction to the
students. Top rankers of B.Ed and M.Ed are also awarded with a prize of cash
amount. In last three years three B.Ed and three M.Ed students were awarded with the
prize.

Q. 3. Give gender –wise drop-out rate after admission in the last five years and list
possible reasons for the drop out. Describe (if any) the mechanism adopted by
the institution for controlling the drop out.

are negligible hence institution has not to do much for checking the dropout rates.
Hardly one or two students sometimes drop out in a batch of 180 students, sometimes
there is no dropout. Reasons for such nominal dropout are marriage, getting job,
compelling family conditions etc.
