The Vineyard Of Sour Grapes

Western Christianity seems to have lost its way (not all but many).
Pedophile priests, homosexual bishops, money begging preachers.
We can see by the Old Testament that Israel defiled the ‘way’ of
the LORD and the LORD required it of them. For 2500 plus years
foreigners ruled over Israel. One should read the history of the
horrors that the exiled Jews suffered since 70 AD. How much more
should a disobedient Gentile church expect?

Isaiah 5:1-7 ¶ Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my

beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in
a very fruitful hill:
2 And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and
planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of
it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should
bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.
3 And now, O inhabitants of Jerusalem, and men of Judah, judge,
I pray you, betwixt me and my vineyard.
4 What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not
done in it? wherefore, when I looked that it should bring forth
grapes, brought it forth wild grapes?
5 And now go to; I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard: I
will take away the hedge thereof, and it shall be eaten up; and
break down the wall thereof, and it shall be trodden down:
6 And I will lay it waste: it shall not be pruned, nor digged; but
there shall come up briers and thorns: I will also command the
clouds that they rain no rain upon it.
7 For the vineyard of the LORD of hosts is the house of Israel, and
the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment,
but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.

In another translation verse seven reads like this.

Isaiah 5:7 Tanakh Translation
For the vineyard of the LORD of Hosts
Is the House of Israel,
And the seedlings He lovingly tended
Are the men of Judah.
And He hoped for justice,
But behold, injustice:
For equity,
But behold, iniquity!

Jesus provided a very similar parable during his ministry. Lets

read.

Luke 20:9-18 Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A

certain man planted a vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and
went into a far country for a long time.
10 And at the season he sent a servant to the husbandmen, that
they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the
husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty.
11 And again he sent another servant: and they beat him also, and
entreated him shamefully, and sent him away empty.
12 And again he sent a third: and they wounded him also, and cast
him out.
13 Then said the lord of the vineyard, What shall I do? I will send
my beloved son: it may be they will reverence him when they see
him.
14 But when the husbandmen saw him, they reasoned among
themselves, saying, This is the heir: come, let us kill him, that the
inheritance may be ours.
15 So they cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him. What
therefore shall the lord of the vineyard do unto them?
16 He shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give
the vineyard to others. And when they heard it, they said, God
forbid.
17 And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written,
The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head
of the corner?
18 Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on
whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

This parable is very fitting for liberal denominational Christianity

today. If anyone comes to their churches to teach them out of the
Word of God, the teacher, like the servants in the parable are
treated shamefully. They willingly plug their ears and say ‘we
don’t want to hear it’. If the heir himself who is Jesus Christ came
to teach them they would reject Him, just like the religious leaders
in Jesus’ day did. These church leaders try to teach that
homosexuality as an ‘alternate’ lifestyle contrary to what the
scriptures say.
In verse eighteen it says. ‘Whosoever shall fall upon that stone
shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him
to powder’. What this means is that we conform our behavior to
what the word of God says, not the opposite. If not, powder.

The church is the LORD’S vineyard, yet pretentious people are

trying to hijack it. In our next scripture keep in mind the name
‘Naboth’ means ‘fruits’. Jezebel means ‘unchaste’. Ahab means
"father's brother" his father was Omri, 1 Kings 16:25 says
‘Omri did what was displeasing to the LORD; he was worse than
all who proceeded him’. Ahab proves to be his father’s brother.

1 Kings 21:1-21 And it came to pass after these things, that

Naboth the Jezreelite had a vineyard, which was in Jezreel, hard
by the palace of Ahab king of Samaria.
2 And Ahab spake unto Naboth, saying, Give me thy vineyard,
that I may have it for a garden of herbs, because it is near unto my
house: and I will give thee for it a better vineyard than it; or, if it
seem good to thee, I will give thee the worth of it in money.
3 And Naboth said to Ahab, The LORD forbid it me, that I should
give the inheritance of my fathers unto thee.
4 And Ahab came into his house heavy and displeased because of
the word which Naboth the Jezreelite had spoken to him: for he
had said, I will not give thee the inheritance of my fathers. And he
laid him down upon his bed, and turned away his face, and would
eat no bread.
5 ¶ But Jezebel his wife came to him, and said unto him, Why is
thy spirit so sad, that thou eatest no bread?
6 And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the
Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money; or
else, if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it: and
he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard.
7 And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the
kingdom of Israel? arise, and eat bread, and let thine heart be
merry: I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite.
8 So she wrote letters in Ahab’s name, and sealed them with his
seal, and sent the letters unto the elders and to the nobles that were
in his city, dwelling with Naboth.
9 And she wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast, and set
Naboth on high among the people:
10 And set two men, sons of Belial, before him, to bear witness
against him, saying, Thou didst blaspheme God and the king. And
then carry him out, and stone him, that he may die.
11 And the men of his city, even the elders and the nobles who
were the inhabitants in his city, did as Jezebel had sent unto them,
and as it was written in the letters which she had sent unto them.
12 They proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth on high among the
people.
13 And there came in two men, children of Belial, and sat before
him: and the men of Belial witnessed against him, even against
Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth did
blaspheme God and the king. Then they carried him forth out of
the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died.
14 Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, Naboth is stoned, and is
dead.
15 And it came to pass, when Jezebel heard that Naboth was
stoned, and was dead, that Jezebel said to Ahab, Arise, take
possession of the vineyard of Naboth the Jezreelite, which he
refused to give thee for money: for Naboth is not alive, but dead.
16 And it came to pass, when Ahab heard that Naboth was dead,
that Ahab rose up to go down to the vineyard of Naboth the
Jezreelite, to take possession of it.
17 ¶ And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite,
saying,
18 Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, which is in
Samaria: behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth, whither he is
gone down to possess it.
19 And thou shalt speak unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD,
Hast thou killed, and also taken possession? And thou shalt speak
unto him, saying, Thus saith the LORD, In the place where dogs
licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick thy blood, even thine.
20 And Ahab said to Elijah, Hast thou found me, O mine enemy?
And he answered, I have found thee: because thou hast sold
thyself to work evil in the sight of the LORD.
21 Behold, I will bring evil upon thee, and will take away thy
posterity, and will cut off from Ahab him that pisseth against the
wall, and him that is shut up and left in Israel,
22 And will make thine house like the house of Jeroboam the son
of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah, for the
provocation wherewith thou hast provoked me to anger, and made
Israel to sin.
23 And of Jezebel also spake the LORD, saying, The dogs shall
eat Jezebel by the wall of Jezreel.
24 Him that dieth of Ahab in the city the dogs shall eat; and him
that dieth in the field shall the fowls of the air eat.
25 But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to
work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife
stirred up.
26 And he did very abominably in following idols, according to
all things as did the Amorites, whom the LORD cast out before the
children of Israel.
27 And it came to pass, when Ahab heard those words, that he rent
his clothes, and put sackcloth upon his flesh, and fasted, and lay in
sackcloth, and went softly.
28 And the word of the LORD came to Elijah the Tishbite, saying,
29 Seest thou how Ahab humbleth himself before me? because he
humbleth himself before me, I will not bring the evil in his days:
but in his son’s days will I bring the evil upon his house.

Because of Elijah’s prophecy Jezebel goes on to try to destroy the

LORD’s prophets. She declares war on them. A few years after
this incident a man named Jehu appears on the scene. And the
prophet Elisha sends one of his pupils to anoint Jehu with oil. Jehu
is to become king of Israel. Let’s read.

2 Kings 9:7 & 30-37 And thou shalt smite the house of Ahab thy
master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets,
and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of
Jezebel.
30 ¶ And when Jehu was come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and
she painted her face, and tired (dressed) her head (hair), and
looked out at a window.
31 And as Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, Had Zimri peace,
who slew his master?
32 And he lifted up his face to the window, and said, Who is on
my side? who? And there looked out to him two or three eunuchs.
33 And he said, Throw her down. So they threw her down: and
some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses:
and he trode her under foot.
34 And when he was come in, he did eat and drink, and said, Go,
see now this cursed woman, and bury her: for she is a king’s
daughter.
35 And they went to bury her: but they found no more of her than
the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.
36 Wherefore they came again, and told him. And he said, This is
the word of the LORD, which he spake by his servant Elijah the
Tishbite, saying, In the portion of Jezreel shall dogs eat the flesh of
Jezebel:
37 And the carcase of Jezebel shall be as dung upon the face of
the field in the portion of Jezreel; so that they shall not say, This is
Jezebel.

The case of Jezebel and Ahab is what is happening in

denominational Christianity today. They are stealing the LORD’s
vineyard. I personally eschew fundamentalism in all forms, but
sodomite bishops, pedophile priests? Do they think they can
change the laws of the LORD and escape judgment?

Deuteronomy 23:17 There shall be no whore of the daughters of

Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel.
18 Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog,
into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both
these are abomination unto the LORD thy God.

The price of a dog in verse eighteen means male homosexual

prostitute. Look it up in Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance.

Leviticus 21:17-23 Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of

thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not
approach to offer the bread of his God.
18 For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not
approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any
thing superfluous,
19 Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded,
20 Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or
be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken;
21 No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest
shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire:
he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his
God.
22 He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of
the holy.
23 Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the
altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my
sanctuaries: for I the LORD do sanctify them.

Blemished people spiritually speaking should not be ministers in

the LORD’S church, God is not mocked, yet these people make a
mockery of the LORD’S church. The ungodly speak evil of it for
these very things we see happening today. When one approaches
the pulpit, he is offering ‘ the bread of his God’. They eat and drink
unworthily. Many of today’s churches are offering sour drink.

Hosea 4:18 Their drink is sour: they have committed whoredom

continually: her rulers with shame do love, Give ye.

Isaiah 5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that
put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for
sweet, and sweet for bitter!

2 Peter 2:19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are
the servants of corruption:

1 Corinthians 11:23-29 For I have received of the Lord that which

also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in
which he was betrayed took bread:
24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat:
this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance
of me.
25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had
supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do
ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew
the Lord’s death till he come.
27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of
the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the
Lord.
28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread,
and drink of that cup.
29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and
drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.

It could not be more evident, those who partake and dispense of

the bread (a type of the word of God) and the blood (a type of the
Spirit) unworthily do so their own damnation.

Deuteronomy 28:15-52 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not

hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all
his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this
day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:
16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the
field.
17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.
18 Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land,
the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
19 Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt
thou be when thou goest out.
20 The LORD shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke,
in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be
destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness
of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.
21 The LORD shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he
have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to
possess it.
22 The LORD shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a
fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and
with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall
pursue thee until thou perish.
23 And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the
earth that is under thee shall be iron.
24 The LORD shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust:
from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.
25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies:
thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before
them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.
26 And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and
unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.
27 The LORD will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with
the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, whereof thou
canst not be healed.
28 The LORD shall smite thee with madness, and blindness, and
astonishment of heart:
29 And thou shalt grope at noonday, as the blind gropeth in
darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be
only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee.
30 Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her:
thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou
shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.
31 Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat
thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away from before thy
face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given
unto thine enemies, and thou shalt have none to rescue them.
32 Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people,
and thine eyes shall look, and fail with longing for them all the day
long: and there shall be no might in thine hand.
33 The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which
thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and
crushed alway:
34 So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou
shalt see.
35 The LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a
sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the
top of thy head.
36 The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set
over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have
known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone.
37 And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a
byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.
38 Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather
but little in; for the locust shall consume it.
37 And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a
byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee.
38 Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather
but little in; for the locust shall consume it.
39 Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither
drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat
them.
40 Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou
shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his
fruit.
41 Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy
them; for they shall go into captivity.
42 All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume.
43 The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very
high; and thou shalt come down very low.
44 He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be
the head, and thou shalt be the tail.
45 ¶ Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall
pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou
hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his
commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee:
46 And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and
upon thy seed for ever.
47 Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness,
and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;
48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD
shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness,
and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy
neck, until he have destroyed thee.

These things still apply to the church. The word of God is forever.

Ever since the advent of the church there have been fringe groups,
it is nothing new as we can see by the church in Thyatira. The
name Thyatira means ‘odour of affliction’.

Revelation 2: 18-23 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira

write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like
unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
19 I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy
patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.
20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because
thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a
prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit
fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she
repented not.
22 Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit
adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their
deeds.
23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches
shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I
will give unto every one of you according to your works.
Perhaps denominational Christianity has ran its course, with no
more to offer. If a church is doing things contrary to the word and
Spirit of God there is a warning of avoidance issued about her.

Revelation18:1-4 And after these things I saw another angel come

down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was
lightened with his glory.
2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the
great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and
the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and
hateful bird.
3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her
fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication
with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the
abundance of her delicacies.
4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of
her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye
receive not of her plagues.
5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath
remembered her iniquities.

Joel 2:1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my

holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the
day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

The word of God is the guide for the church, all of it. Some say the
Old Testament doesn’t apply to the church, nothing could be
further from the truth. The word of God, ALL OF IT, still applies.

Matthew 5:17-18 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or

the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot
or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
Till heaven and earth have passed we’re still obligated to the laws
of God, they still apply. Jesus came to fulfill the law and those who
really love Him will follow Him whithersoever He goes. He is the
same yesterday, today and forever.

Revelation 14:4 These are they which were not defiled with
women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the
Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among
men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and
for ever.

1 Peter 1:25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this
is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

One should read the horrors that the exiled Jews suffered since 70
AD. I have and often read a book ‘A History Of The Jews’ by
Abram Leon Sachar, publisher Alfred A. Knopf, that documents
their sufferings. If the LORD allowed judgment to happen to
beloved Israel how much more should a disobedient Gentile
church expect?

In our next scripture ‘dogs’ means male homosexual or a man of

abasement. The dictionary defines, ‘abasement’ to behave in a way
so as to belittle or degrade someone. Such as a pedophile.

Revelation 22:13-16 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the

end, the first and the last.
14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may
have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates
into the city. (The New Jerusalem)
15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and
murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.
