 D2000 SWIVEL JOINT

* Always support the outboard weight of the swivel joint with a crane or
lifting device while performing the following steps:

1. Remove the flange screws and separate the swivel joint at the split flange. Note: You can
change the seal from either side on the D2000 swivel, but it is only necessary to remove one of
the flanges.

2. Remove the seal set (it is recommended to replace the PTFE seal carrier and O-Rings).
Caution: Be careful not to scratch seal surfaces.

3. Flush seal surfaces with solvent to remove any grit that may be present. If necessary, Emory
paper (320 grit or finer) can be used to polish the surface.

4. Insert the new seal set into the swivel joint.

5. Realign flange and initialize the threads on the screws. Once all screws have been started,
completely tighten in alternating fashion. The torque requirement is 15 ft. lbs. on screws.

Attention: D2000 swivel joints do not require field greasing for 5 years

To determine when your swivel joint will
require greasing, please consult the date
stamp on the loading arm tag. Five years
from the date of manufacture, the limited
warranty on the swivel expires. You can
either:
1. Replace the bearing module and
receive a new five year warranty.

D2000 Field Greasing Kits
Kit includes:
· Ball retaining screw with zirc
fitting
· Tube of grease – consult the
loading arm tag for the
appropriate grease.
Greasing Instructions
Each kit contains enough grease to com-
pletely grease one swivel.
Remove the existing ball retaining screw
and replace with the zirc fitting screw.
Grease the swivel taking care to rotate
the swivel as much as possible after
each injection.
