Non fiction wolf spiders

1)The main idea in the article is the living conditions and individual characteristics of a
wolf spider. It explains their breeding conditions and the location in which they are most
active.

2)I have read about several other information based articles which explain the living
conditions of a specific animal. It is very informative and factual.

3)The author's purpose is to inform the audience of the wolf spiders living conditions
and its natural characteristics. I came to this condition because it kept talking about
where the species can be found and what they do when they are taking care of their
young.

4)The audience might be educated inclined students who seek to study this species.
This effects the text by making it more reliable since it might be used for education
purposes.

5)The author uses facts and specific measures to argue the sizing and diet of the
spiders which give off the impression that they know facts about these arachnids.

6)Ethos is most active in this article. In the text it said “About 125 species occur in North
America, about 50 in Europe. Numerous species occur north of the Arctic Circle”(The
Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica See Article History). In addition “Most species build
silk-lined, tubular nests in the ground. Some conceal the entrance with rubbish; others
build a turret like structure above it”(The Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica See Article
History). Finally “They are easily identified by the number and arrangement of the eyes:
four small eyes in the lowest row, two very large eyes in a middle row, and two small or
medium-sized eyes in a top row”(The Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica See Article
History). They give specific details of the spiders to exercise their credibility.

7)The possible theme for this text would be that the wolf spiders are complex creatures
with their own way of life and mysterious characteristics. In the text it said “The hairy
body is long and broad, with stout, long legs. Wolf spiders are noted for their running
speed”(The Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica See Article History). In addition “ After
hatching, the young spiders ride on the mother’s back for several days”(The Editors of
Encyclopaedia Britannica See Article History). Finally “Wolf spiders of the genus Pirata,
often found near ponds or streams, have a V-shaped pale mark on the back”(The
Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica See Article History).
8)This text helped me understand that worf spiders are very interesting arachnids and
on of many species who live in a specific area and have specific characteristics.

9)I would change the lack of preffetion opinions which would help the text b more
credible.

10)Wolf spiders are an interesting type of spider with differences solely meant for them
and the place they live in. Specific types of abilities help these spiders live in the place
they are designed to live in. In the text it said “After hatching, the young spiders ride on
the mother’s back for several days”(The Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica). The
babies ride on the mother back for extra protection from predators which helped with
their survival.Curtain aspects of these insects have to adapt to their surroundings in
order to ensure their survival.
