Hello and welcome to the June 2018 edition of Holden Torque. The official
publication of the 48 to 78 Holden Car Club Hunter Valley Inc. On the cover this month is a
photo of John Bambach with Bev Brock at the Lungs for Life Day, Paterson.
Next Monday night, at the meeting, we will be fortunate enough to have club
member Greg (Spiros) Smith talking about his time in the middle east with the RAAF.

The Swap Meet should utilise the “Crazy About Chrome” name. Agreed.

Events Report May 2018
Since last newsletter.....
12th May Bonfire Night, Another great night at the Fulmer’s place, thanks Cathy and Dave.
Despite the threat of rain and cold winds it turned out to be the perfect evening for a bush
BBQ around the fire, the stars came out and everyone enjoyed wonderful company. Special
thanks to Kylie and Gary for the huge pot of soup.

20th May Tilligery Motorama

Congratulations to the Tilligery Classic Car Club for another hugely successful show. I have
been told there was about 400 vehicles on show and the weather couldn’t have been
better.

UPCOMING EVENTS
Gosford swap meet 17th,
As our “no car show” club run for June/July we are going to Lost in the 50’s on June 24th,
they will be closing forever on 24th Sept and have 10,000 items of memorabilia for sale so
you could pick up a memento for the man cave. After this we’ll go for a cruise somewhere
for lunch.
See flyers and calendar for other events in July.
The time is NOW to book in for All Holden Day before they sell out. If you haven’t been
before it’s a great day with 800 Holden’s of every shape and size, the club provides
breakfast and lunch. Swap Meet is Sat and Sunday 4th and 5th August at Hawkesbury
showground, Clarendon with the display day on Sunday.
“Cessnock swap” as it is generally known is back on under new management, see flyer

entry. (Provided you are a fully financial member of the club. A copy of the current newsletter must be carried as proof
