COURSE OUTCOMES

At the end of the course, the students should be able to:-

1. Identify and demonstrate Safety Regulation.


2. Describe Occupational Safety and Health (OSH).
3. Explain accidents and hazard at workplace.
4. Perform accident prevention at workplace.
5. Perform fire fighting.
6. Apply basic first aid procedures according to OSH.
7. Perform workshop equipment and tools usage.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course covers workplace safety guidance material that contributes to the state of
knowledge about hazards and risks and the ways of removing or reducing the hazard and
risk, emergency procedures, equipment and hands tools usage, basic safety regulation,
firefighting and basic first aid in workplace.
CONTENT STANDARD 1 : APPLY GENERAL SAFETY REGULATION

faedah keselamatan industri dan kepentingan mempelajarinya.
 Apakah tujuan Akta Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan, peranan Keselamatan dan
Kesihatan Pekerjaan Negara (NIOSH) dan fungsi Jabatan Keselamatan dan Kesihatan
Pekerjaan Malaysia?.
