SUBJECT: 2018 CHILD-FRIENDLY LOCAL GOVERNANCE AUDIT
DATE : 10 APRIL 2018
Pursuant to DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2014-80, the Child-Friendly Local Governance
‘Audit (CFLGA) as an annual activity covers all Cities and Municipalities nationwide. It aims at
assessing the LGU performance in the delivery of social services on child and youth welfare
and in identifying results of the intervention.
The conduct of the CFLGA started in 2014 where 934 out of 1,516 LGUs were conferred as
eligible for the Seal of Child-Friendly Local Governance. In 2015, out of 1,634 LGUs 1,093
were conferred as eligible for the said Seal. While in 2016, out of 1,634 LGUs 1,176 were
conferred as eligible for the said Seal. Likewise, in 2017, out of 1,634 LGUs 1,365 were
conferred with the Seal.
For CY 2018, the said Audit will start in June until October utilizing the same CFLGA Tool
and processes. Below is the schedule of activities:
