The teacher will flash a tongue twister and will ask the students to recite it.
Afterwards, the teacher will ask them to identify the nouns.

Betty Botter bought a bit of butter


The butter Betty Botter bought was a bit of bitter
And made her batter bitter.
But a bit of better butter makes better batter
So Betty Botter bought a bit of better butter
Making Betty Botter’s bitter batter better

2. Presentation/Discussion

Common noun is word used to name general items rather than specific ones.

Proper noun is a name used for an individual person, place, or organization and is
spelled with initial capital letters.

The teacher will flash on the screen samples of common noun. Afterwards, the
teacher will ask one student to get his/her bag and identify 5 common nouns which
can be found inside the student’s bag.

Activity 1- Color me up!


Directions: Identify common and proper nouns from the words enumerated
below by shading it with the assigned color.
Common Noun = Blue
Proper Noun = Pink

Activity 2: Yell it up!


Directions: Divide the class into five groups. The students will create their own
yells using 5 common and 5 proper nouns. Each group will be given 5 minutes to
prepare and one minute to demonstrate their own yells.

Activity 3: Mold it dough!


Directions: Using the same groupings, the class will mold objects that represent
7 common and 7 proper nouns. Each group will be given 7 minutes to prepare
and 2 minutes to present. A representative of the group will present the work of
their group.

In their presentation, the representative will explain the items they have
