Lowie: Former US President Abraham Lincoln once wrote, “[And] in the end, it’s
not the years in your life that count. [But] the life in your years.”

Patet: Tonight is a celebration of both the years and the life of Leonardo
“Narding” Dones as he turns 80 .

Lowie: And what a wonderful gift of life it is, when you celebrate it not just with
your loved-ones but with your better half.

Patet: True. God’s love is truly manifested in these great couple. Mana Sally
has also turned 70 last October 9, 2017. And this is a time to make that double
celebration extra special.

Lowie: Good afternoon/evening everyone, I am Lowie Barrel.

Patet: and Violeta Frances Aplan.

Lowie & Patet: and we will be your host for this afternoon/evening.

Lowie: All of us gathered here have been a part of Mano Narding and Mana
Sally’s life- one way or another.

INTRODUCTION OF THE FAMILY

Patet: So let’s start with our entrance. Let me introduce to you the family of our
celebrators.

Patet: and ROSALINA ‘SALLY’ L. DONES

Lowie and Patet: Mano Narding was born on November 6, 1937 here in
Catarman while Mana Sally was born on October 09, 1947 in Cagayan. They
were married on June ___________. Being dedicated to their family and
respective careers, our celebrators deserve this night to celebrate their special
days with people who matter the most to them. Friends and family, let us once
again welcome, the couple of the hour, MANO NARDING AND MANA SALLY
DONES!

OPENING PRAYER
Patet: To start our celebration, I would like to call on one of the colleagues of
Mana Sally when she was still in Catarman 1 Central, Mr. Wilfredo Donina to
lead the opening prayer.

NAME) to welcome us to this afternoon’s events and to give a toast to our
celebrators. They might want to share stories why they wanted to have this

Lowie: Now people say that the most widely known language in any part of the
world is music. We would like to request some music for the celebrators to
dance to. I will be calling on the names of the special people in your lives that
wanted to have this precious dance with you.

Patet: But for now, we proceed to one of the most important parts of this
celebration: enjoying each other’s company over good food prepared for us by
the owner of this lovely venue, Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Allado. And so, to lead us
in the prayer before meals, I would like to call on ___________________.

Lowie: Before we proceed to the buffet tables, our celebrators will be going
around tables to have their pictures taken with our celebrant. Once the photo
is taken, you may proceed to the buffet table.

people who love you. But aside from those who are in the video, we have with

Patet: As in every birthday celebration, we have the blowing of the candles. May
I request Mano Narding and Mana Sally’s family to join them onstage as we
sing happy birthday.

WORDS FROM THE CELEBRATORS

Lowie: This day will not pass without hearing some words coming from the
celebrators. So ladies and gentlemen, the celebrators, Mano Narding and Mana
Sally for a few words.

Patet: According to famous John Lennon, you should “Count your age by
friends, not years. Count your life by smiles, not tears.” With that said, if we do
count Mano Narding and Mana Sally’s age by their friends and by the smiles
they paint on peoples’ faces, they will not just be 80 and 70 respectively. They
might be more than a hundred.
Lowie: Tonight we had the chance to celebrate life and all its blessings. From
tonight, we see more years in the lives of Mano Narding and Mana Sally filled
with happiness, love and joy surrounded by their family and friends.

Patet: Again, HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
